Review Summary For : M-Cubed Semiconductor Analyser ver 2.0
Reviews: 3MSRP: 49.95 + 6.95 for the case
Description:
Don't be fooled by this being a kit - this is a professional grade semiconductor analyzer for the technician, radio amateur and electronics enthusiast at an affordable price!

No more guessing about those house-numbered or unmarked transistors. Automatically and instantly identify type, pin configuration, internal shorts, leakage and other parameters. Verify pin configuration of diodes and LEDs, forward voltage drop and test current measurements as well as junction leakage. Confirm that your device meets manufacturer specifications. Transistors, even from the same manufacturer and batch, can have a wide variation in operational parameters.

M3 has a real winner Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Mike and Mike from M3 had a real winner product at the Ft. Wayne Hamfest last week. Like a few others, after seeing their transistor/diode analyzer - I had to have one. After about 2 hours it was checking all those old transistors/diodes in my shop. It has replace a very old Heathkit transistor checker, and hours looking on the internet for information. The quality of the pc board, parts, and instruction manual was excellent. As they say, read the manual. I look forward to updates to my unit, which are as easy as changing a IC.

Handiest thing for the experimenter since the DVM Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just picked up one of these at the Ft. Wayne Hamfest and it is fantastic. Goes together easily (about 1.5 hours) and worked correctly the first time. First rate PCB and parts. NO SURPLUS PARTS! It is one of those test instruments I and maybe you wished you had many times. If you are a builder, tinkerer or someone who repairs equipment for a living you need this.

From the web site.
"Checks Bipolar transistors, with or without protection diode,
Darlington Transistors, Enhancement Mode MOSFET's, Junction FET's, Triacs, Thyristors, Diodes/LEDs. The M3 Semiconductor Analyzer is designed for out-of-circuit component testing. Operation of the analyzer is very straight forward. For transistors, simply connect the three clips - in any order - to the leads of the device under test. For diodes and LEDs, connect the two outside clips to the leads of the device under test. Pin configuration and test results will be displayed on the LCD. For a complete description of the parameters displayed for various devices, download a copy of the M3 Semiconductor User's Manual and see for yourself what a powerful addition this analyzer is to any electronics workbench. All in a small handheld device."
