Very dependable. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned the Vantage Pro 2 (wireless) for about 2 years now. I have it installed on a tripod on the upper deck of my dock on the Tennessee River in north Alabama. It transmits data to the console in my office/radio room, which is about 175' away, and does a great job. I do not have it hooked up to the internet as I just use it for my own personal information. It still has the same battery in the remote unit and has not missed a beat. The unit appears to be very accurate. The only problem is having to deal with spider webs, wasps, and willow flies.I have been very pleased with this unit and would highly recommend the Davis Vantage Pro 2.

Near Pefect Time Owned: more than 12 months.
So far the Davis VP II has survived two moves, and everything mother nature has been able to dish out for the last four years. Still on the original lithium battery in the sensor suite. My only recommendation is to install it in an accessible location, as the rain collector needs occasional debris removal to maintain accuracy. I use mine to supply data for my internet wx station. www.westhillweather.com
To really bring out the best in this unit, I use Virtual Weather Station, from Ambient weather

At last a ham weather station Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
It is a DAVIS Vantage PRO2 wireless. All sensors are integrated to one unit and transmit data to console in a very efficient way. (First and only weather station in its class to use frequency hopping spread spectrum radio technology to transmit weather data wirelessly up to 1000' (300 m)).
I installed the ISS (Integrated Sensor Suite) up to my terrace just under my HF antennas. Fortunately the whole system turned out to be RF proof, an issue that my old Monitor II suffered a lot. The isolation between sensors and console protects the later from static that under bad weather conditions make provoke severe damage. But a weather station without a data logger and proper monitoring software it is absolutely useless. DAVIS has made great job on this part too. Data logger keeps data for 50 days if you choose one record every 30 min (there are many options upon this interval). WeatherLink, as they call the provided software, it does very well its job and can convert the older data bases to the new format. APRS publishing of weather data possible. This weather station is a really mature product and quite compatible with HAM environments.

Great Product Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I ordered my unit from weathershack.com and promptly received it. The Davis unit is exceptionally easy to assemble and install. The manual was great in its description of assembly and I was able to send data to both APRS and wunderground.com within the same day. Would recommend the product and the vendor to all.

Best ever owned Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have owned my vantage pro 2 for almost a year now. The only thing I have a problem with is when bugs like to call it home. I have the 24 hour fan aspirated radiation shield and after several months the fan stopped on me but I think I know what the problem is. Even without the fan it's still highly accurate. I am an emergency manager in my county and reliable weather information is important to our county since we have rivers for three of the four sides of our county. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to get a great weather station.

Excellent Product Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I am in my ninth month of ownership. I have had to replace two items, the data logger and the temp/humidity sensor, but on both occasions, support was excellent. I recently bit the dollar bullet and got a second transmitter to enable me to site the anemometer on my roof and the other sensors at 5 ft. above ground level. The transmitter was pricey ($165) plus shipping, but works well and was easy to setup. I use VWS along with WeatherLink to make my data available on the internet.

Accurate & built very well Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had mine installed for just over a year and have had absolutely no problems. I like range of the wireless signal, the accuracy of the sensors, and the rapid update especially on the anemometer. Many of the other wireless weather stations update wind speed as long as 30 second intervals. The VP2 is updated every 2.5 seconds. The data logger accessory to connect to a pc is a little pricey in my opinion at $160.

Results & Quick Setup Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just purchased and installed my Pro2 wireless. Install very easy to understand, my unit is mounted on an 8 ft. tall aluminum mast which is band clamped to a fence post in the paddock in the back forty. Range from the unit is 150 ft. The console is located in the basement and there is a sort of direct line of sight through the basement window. Hooked it up to my PC and I am sending data to both Weatherunderground and CWOPS.
So far so good and my data correlated well with the nearby NWS station. Highly recommended.
