Easy Plug N" Play ! Needs +12vdc / 50mA not included Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Using this ARB-704 with an Icom 746Pro and an Ameritron AL-80B. It works a treat and was super easy to hookup. It is very versatile and unlike dedicated buffers sauch as though designed expressly for the 746 Pro this buffer covers virtually any rig/amp combo one can come up with. I give it a 5 based on that versatility but drop it overall to a 4 since it does not come with the needed +12vdc / 50mA supply which should have been included at no extra cost IMHO.

Works as advertised Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Simple box, I have used the regular one and one for IC706. Plug in to radio, plug into amp, and operate. In my mind a necessary accessary for most Ameritron amps or any which do not include protection.

INSTANT SUCESS Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
From the box, plug in the proper cable to the rig (depends on radio and ordered @ the same time). Plug the supplied cable from the interface to the amplifier and on the air. Just that easy and quick. As I say instant sucess.
It came with instructions for other radios and Amps, easy to understand diagrams for setting jumpers inside the interface. It had cables for relay and also ALC connections.
