Unlike most newer transceivers of this nature, the TM-732 has a solid receiver coupled with very good quality transmit audio. I have run the 732 for a few years now and it compares favourably against more modern offerings such as the TM-V7E. It wipes the floor with radios such as the Icom IC-2725. Wide receive is available. The only problem noted so far is a small surface mount electrolytic on the control head which has a tendency to leak electrolyte straight onto the main 5V rail. This must be watched, as the control head PCB is multi-layer and rectifying this fault can be costly if the damage is extensive. Symptoms of this fault are a slow power up or no power up at all. However, this is a minor fault if it is kept in mind, and it may be limited to a particular batch of TM-732s, so it hasn't affected my rating score.
