Great service. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I order my Radio Amateur's Callbook from John, K1XN. Not only is the price right, John's service is really quick. With the RAC accessed by my logging program (WIN-EQF)I have the information available in one easy step!

Great product! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using the RAC since I first started in Ham Radio in 1979. I am also familiar with "The Callbook" because I can always remember my father W1JAX had a copy available. It always made a great Christmas gift.

RAC establishes the standard in Callbook lookup with it's many features. Even with all the online lookups available I still would feel lost without the RAC.

I've got to give a special thumbs up to John K1XN of the Golist who was able to get my subscription copy when the US company sold the business. I would recommend the Golist http://www.golist.net/ as the place to get your copy of the Radio Amateur's Callbook CD.

K1XN: Excellent Service! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've used the RAC callbook for many years, but recently had some severe problems with ordering it (see an eham review several months ago before). I've also been a GOLIST subscriber, but didn't remember that John also offered the RAC callbook.

Recently, John saw my negative review on eham and offered to set it right. I am astounded at this level of customer service (especially after waiting many months for an order with another vender that failed to deliver what was paid for!).

The RAC callbook is simply the best one available these days, and I STRONGLY urge my fellow hams to order it through the golist (K1XN), lest you run into the same difficulties I did!

While quick to charge my credit card, MONTHS have ensued with no delivery... others have noted the poor service, which is a shame considering the history of this product.

Get it from GO-List or not at all Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been getting the RAC from the GO-List for several years now. John always gets things right for you. He lets you know when the CD's are leaving Germany, when he gets them and when he mails them... usually they are out in 2 or 3 days from when he gets them.

For some reason mine got returned by the USPS saying they couldn't find my address. Well, they had been sending me all my other mail, and John had the right address. But, when it got returned he e-mailed me to find out what might be wrong, and re-sent it when I confirmed the address and followed up until I got it.

That is fine customer service, and why I get mine from the GO-List. The RAC is a fine product, but getting it from someone else is a crap shoot.

Get it from the GoList! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've been using the RAC for years and have bought them from K1XN at the GoList for the last few years. Always got my copy at a great price and fast service. I use the RAC with WINEQF. Integrates with the logbook nicely and its fast when running from the hard drive rather than the CD.

Excellent service Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been buying Radio Amateur Callbook from GoList for many years and am very well satisfied with GoList service. Price is good at $37.50. John does everything to make sure you get what you want in a timely manner. John had a problem with the U.S. distributor but solved that problem ins short order. Cecil WE8D

No problems Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've used the RAC CD's for years. They work great with all of my logging and digital ham programs. I installed the CD on my hard drive and access is almost instantaneous.

obsolete product Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought one of the last Callbook CDs (Winter 2003- Final Limited Edition) published at Lakewood NJ before the company was sold. The service was good (I purchased it from Duane Heise- AA6EE, the AMSAT guy) and the Callbook CD is a quality product. Not to pick on RAC, I'll probably never buy another callsign lookup CD, and here's why:

So many Callbook competitors have issued CDs over the past several years is must be difficult for Callbook to maintain market share. The game seems to be provide ease-of-use and unique features. Still, all of these CDs are outdated before they are shipped, as was the old paper version of Radio Amateur Callbook. For a fee, at least one of Callbook's competitors will keep their CD updated for a specified period of time.

Although it lacks the requisite bells and whistles prized by the amateur community, the latest information has been available from the FCC's ULS lookup site for some time. This is the place for the latest, most up-to-date information.

Radio Amateur Callbook signed it's own death warrant when they stopped publishing the paper version in 1997. The hard-copies are an interesting archive as they provide a snapshot of who was licensed, and when.

And the best thing about the old paper versions is no computer is required to access them.
