Quick Install Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Works as advertised. I received it in the mail today and finished the install and radio config. in less than a half hour. None of the dip switches had to be changed from their default position; I'm running an IC-7000 and Little Tarheel II. So far, so good...

Works Great Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased my Turbo Tuner second-hand for use with a Yaesu FT-857D & High Sierra Sidekick in a mobile installation. The Sidekick is used with both the standard 3-foot whip or an accessory 6-foot whip: the Turbo Tuner handles either one flawlessly.

One interesting sidenote was that, upon receipt of the Turbo Tuner I was without the Molex plug for interconnecting the Turbo Tuner with the antenna. It took several contacts with Bill, N2VZ, but he shipped me 2 pigtails at no cost to me. Not bad for a non-original purchaser!

Perfect since 2005 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had the Turbo Tuner since March, 2005. Since then I have changed to a new Truck, changed from an IC-706 to an IC-7000, and changed from a LARGE to a small Tarheel. The Turbo Tuner has worked perfect with every change, and just keeps on working perfect.

Thanks Bill, great product.

No problems Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using the Turbo Tuner with both my Icom 7000 and 706 MKIIG for two years now. My firmware is still the original one from two years ago and I easily switch out radios depending on how long my trip is going to be. I find it easy to use and setup and after two years it still is performing without problems. The Icom 7000 with the Turbo Tuner is a pretty common setup in my neck of the woods and I have never heard anyone relate any bad experiences with it.

Of course, I have bought enough ham gear to end up with things that were loved by many but were lemons for me so I understand that nothing is perfect. I feel sorry for the hams that have problems but my experience has been vastly different and I have had all of my questions answered within two days or sooner even after 2 years after the purchase date.

beware!!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I feel absolutely terrible leaving this type of feedback, but I feel the need to help other hams.I owned one of these units before for my Icom 706MIIG, the things worked awesome for about yr. It melted together inside. I needed to replace it and here is where it went horribly bad. I ordered it in the first of Oct 2008.Th e lady I talked to assured me it would be at my address at the end of Oct when I return from my holiday back to NB canada. Well it is now the middle of Dec and still no tuner. I have been lied to at least 3 times so far and when confronted they assured me it would be sent soon, after they had told me that it was already shipped. Last week the lady said and I quote " it will be shipped tomorrow and I will call you tomorrow and give you a tracking number" guess what? still no call. Time to cancel the order. By the way I think I'll try the BETTER RF product next.

Works Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought my turbo tuner at Dayton last May to use with my new IC7000. The new purchase replaced an IC706MKIIG and Amcom tuner in my Ford Ranger pickup. I set the switches as advised and it works well with my High Sierra 1800 screwdriver antenna (blackhawk motor). I frequently switch between 20M and 40M on my 7000 and the antenna goes the correct direction every time. So far noise or RF has not been a problem with the turbo tuner using the basic installation (leads not protected).

Works better than I expected Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use a Turbo Tuner with a HS Sidekick and a Kenwood TS-480SAT. It is an excellent combination using the serial port of the TS-480 for comms. Once in a blue moon it goes the wrong way particularly if you retune within the same band but this is not an issue, let it go and it finds resonance pretty quickly. I would definately recommend it.

Needs Help Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Especially on the lower bands. While trying to tune on 75 phone the spot on my HI-Q is so narrow that the tuner will blow right by it and either bottom out or top off the antenna several times before it decides it has found a resonant point.

needs help, how about a memory?

do not purchase Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I give this tuner a 0. I have had it over one year and have not been able to make it work with my HI-Q-4/80 mobile antenna. It does not tune properly. I and my HAM friends have looked at it and we cannot seem to get it to work. I've added ferrite cores, long coax cable, etc. Furthermore, the mfg of the Turbo Tuner does not answer emails. Don't waste your money on this product.

Great Tuner! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Bought mine used. Running it with an Icom 706MkIIG and a HS 1800 Pro. Works great! I really like the convenience of letting the TT do the work. One short glance at the final SWR upon notification tuning is done and I'm confidently on the band chosen.
