Review Summary For : Array Solutions Powermaster
Reviews: 182MSRP: 525.
Description:
5% accuracy, temperature and frequency compensated, 1.8-54 MHz, peak-hold modes, bargraph display of power and SWR for easy antenna system matching, PC programmable via RS232, more.

I use two of these meters in my own station, no suprises there for sure, they are great! But we're adding features you may want to know about. The accuracy is NOW 3% with our HP equipment technique which calibrates out more uncertainty. The coupler heads are interchangeable from HF to uWaves with the new LITE 3.0, and all instruments in the field will be upgradable to a new feature, the COUPLER SCANNER. It will automatically scan multiple couplers for you. Pretty cool stuff. AND more features to come.

Update Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Based on recent dummy load readings and comparison to readings from my OCF dipole, the PM accurately portrays net power=forward-reflected for my SWR's of up to 1.6, so I can reasonably rely on the net power reading as being real power into my antenna.

Very easy to set up and fun to watch. Net power feature is very handy to show actual power out.

Had a problem develop with SWR spike showing up on the meter. Both Jay and Bob readily responded to emails and phone calls. Great customer service !

Turns out I had a loose coupling in the feedline and once I fixed that, the meter shows very consistent readings of SWR and power.

Commercial Quality, First Class! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The Powermaster is absolutely the best investment I have ever made to my station. Highest quality materials and workmanship. This is no cheap hobby box type meter. Is it expensive...well yes and no. Right at $500.00 with shipping to my door but consider this, as with anything in life, you get what you pay for! The Powermaster puts my Bird 43 out to pasture, may it rest in peace. This is a commercial quality meter and one quick click of the microphone gives you a complete overview of what's going on with your station. This is the one piece of equipment that will not be sold or traded. The folks at Array Solutions are serious about customer service too. Real people actually answer the phone and are more than willing to address any questions or concerns you may have. A Super Product!

Versatile power meter Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Very nice unit which provides every imaginable kind of relevant data. Basic display unit gives SWR and Power readings with various set points that can trigger an alarm. When the unit is connected to a computer, the software that is provided gives much additional data on the computer screen. I do not have the equipment necessary to check the accuracy of this unit. However, its readings are consistent with those provided by my amplifier and antenna tuner.

When I received this unit it had apparently been damaged during shipping. When I reported that to Jay at Array Solutions he immediately shipped a new replacement, even before I had shipped the original unit back to him. That’s the kind of dealer I like to do business with.

First Class! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have two power masters setup in an SO2R configuration. I have owned them for over two years now and consider them invaluable. I have lots of stuff from Array Solutions and everything is first class from them. Support is excellent from Jay and his team. Highly recommended!

Great Meter Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Very well built. As always great support from the Jay and the folks at Array Solutions.

I have owned this unit for a number of years and have been inactive and the display was acting up.

I emailed support and received a quick reply from Jay, who suggested a simple display refresh of the display. This fixed my problem.

He also offered to replace the display if that did not fix the problem.

What more can you ask for!

If you are looking for an accurate, professional and flexible wattermeter you found it!

The black box matches my Alpha 99 perfectly. The display is very easy to read and the digital and bar graphs are easy to read.

I have not set mine up for swr alerts and lockout but it will be forthcoming. I did not buy it for the computer interface so I have not tried those features yet.

Another fine product by Array Solutions!

Nice Meter Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased the Powermaster on the recommendation of fellow hams and was not disappointed. Unit was shipped promptly by Array Solutions, was easy to install, and works great in my shack. Ability to have computer work with the meter is a nice plus. Looking forward to installing any new firmware as it is made available.

Excellent! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have owned the Powermaster for two months now. It replaced an Autek WM-1 which was adequate, but I lacked confidence in its measurements. The function and features of the Powermaster are exactly as advertised. I have owned other SWR/power meters, such as the Bird 43, and find the Powermaster superior. Getting a Bird calibrated was a real pain in the ear. I do not have the resources to calibrate or recalibrate a power meter, so I am really happy with the certified calibration of the Powermaster's sensor. I also really like the instant detection feature that allows one to see output power and SWR with a short string of CW dits. The Lite computer interface works well. If I were to need another SWR/powermeter, it will be a Powermaster. I strongly recommend it. It is well worth the price.

Excellent SWR & Power Meter Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I guess I can add to the list of satisfied customers with the Powermaster. I own two units - one for my VHF/UHF satellite & EME station, and the other for my HF station. Both units have performed flawlessly for several years now. I really like the SWR & power limits trip functions for safing my equipment - nice automated protection against unexpected problem conditions that can arise. One request is for an updated Mac OSX firmware load utility on par with the Windows version.

Wonderful product! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This is a great product. After only one week of use, I ordered a second one for my other station. I ran the two copies in series for a while to see how they tracked (very close).

The features in this device are amazing and far exceed anything else in anything close to the price range.

For some purposes analog devices are better, but I have grown much attached to the instantaneous digital indication of power out and SWR. I have found using this device makes it much easier for me to keep my station running properly.

supper piece of equipment Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Being a Radio Operator in the Marine Corp and being a ham for almost 25 years and owning just about everything out there, I think i can say this is one of the finest piece of equipment that i have ever purchased. The flexibility that it gives you for your station install and the options on the item itself are incredible. If your looking for a very nice meter that has all the features and more, you do not have to look any further.
