Just Got Another One! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have one of these antennas mounted on the top of a tower. Been up there for at least 15 years & has worked wonderfully for 2m SSB. Only problem now is the rotator has snuffed it and I am at the age -- seven decades some of breathing -- where climbing & such are out. Younger hams don't exist in my neighborhood and all of the folks young enough to do any "antenna work" are too compos mentis to indulge the crazy old guy lives next door.

I'm gonna have to find someone with a winch to tilt the rusty old tower down and get it out of any chance of being in the estate auction.

Thus I have taken to putting my VHF antennas in the attic, which led me to buy another of these antennas. It went together quickly, even with essential tremor making the screwing in of things a bit adventurous. I tuned it up nice & quick with the modern technology of a NanoVNA. Mounted on the post in the attic that previously held a couple non-directional doodads for 6m and 2m. Greatly improves what I can hear playing 2m FT8/FT4. Deff worth the money. And I didn't have to chance my health or continued annoying of my wife putting it up there.

I also have a 6m version of this antenna and, were it not on the now defunct tower/rotator set up, I'd have it on the air more too. Quality parts, solid construction and, should you bend or break something, Arrow Antennas has parts available too. Known these folks for decades and they've always provided the best in service & product.

Highly recommended.

Great antenna, packaging and customer service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this antenna to reach a distant repeater. It is very easy to assemble. The workmanship and materials are excellent. I would highly recommend this antenna to anyone.

Solid, performs, inexpensive Time Owned: more than 12 months.
What’s not to love? Have two of these, ran on for over a year, and just bought a second for a new location. Assembled it, adjusted according to the instructions, tuned 1.1:1 at 145 and it was well below 1.5 across the entire band. Did a quick benchmark with a local repeater. S7 on the GP3 at roof level, 10 over with the Arrow on a tripod a few feet lower. Physics FTW.

Perfect! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I needed an antenna that could be end mounted with vertical polarization. The end mount bracket that comes with this antenna is perfect in that it accommodates the reflector element and doesn't need an extra few inches of boom for the mount. The same mount can be used as a traditional center mount. The method used to secure the elements to the boom is unique and allows you to easily take the antenna apart if necessary. The gamma match was adjusted for a near 1:1 match at the desired frequency using my antenna analyzer - a 5 minute job. I don't see a thing about this antenna that I'd change.

Excellent antenna, great service Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I can't build a small yagi for the price and that good.

I now have three, the first was put on the side of the tower end mounted vertical for directional repeater work. Over 12 years of ice falling on it and encrusting it has not hurt it. Works very well for its size.

The newest two will be stacked as a 4over4 horizontal polarized array for contesting wit less turning. We will see how well it does compared to a 11 element long boom.

Good antenna,
Quality components and machining,
Good packaging,
fast service,

Rates what I call a 5.

Earlier 4-star review posted by KB1GMX on 2006-04-14

I have on in my kit as a 2m portable/field ops antenna for SSB (low end) or FM (high end) utility
beam. I've used it for sats as well though it's
not light.

The features that I like is rugged, and small. I can toss it in the back of the truck knowing it will survive banging around.

Only limitation I've encountered is 1.5" limit on the mast clamp.

I give it a 4 overall as it's stround and works well but the clamp and weight (for it's size) are
my minor nits. However, I do recommend it as there is no smoke or mirrors here and for it's price it's excellent value.

Good Choice Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Put up a product from Cush/MFJ a month ago. Was not pleased at all. Put up this unit today. Tuning was a problem, but an hour of testing SWR got it right (1.2:1). Keys machines 30+ miles away when it's 100' below them (I live near the Gulf of Mexico, HASL is 23'). Pleased.

Great gain! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned this antenna almost 3 years now and it looks as new as it did when I first put it up. I used it in an apartment on a mic stand and could hit repeaters from indoors my mobile could not. It is now going into service above my 6 meter 4 element moxon antenna. I wish all beams were this tough. At this price, a four element is a four element. Forget the name, and save the money. It will perform and it is tougher than the big name brands.

outstanding antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Got mine up today after receiving it this afternoon. Assemby was very easy and after hooking it up the Swr reading was so low I thought my meter was to blame as well! First contact with repeater 40 miles away on 10 watts sure made me feel good. Don't be afraid to buy this quality product. I mounted mine end fed with only 3 elements because of tightness of space on a mast on my patio.

Great after getting the SWR down... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I got mine and for some reason over 60 watts of power the SWR was crazy high at 146 MHZ. However after fooling around with the matching system I got it pretty much near perfect. I can talk simplex over 100 miles away (I am on a HIGH hill however. I think the gain on this antenna is higher then advertised, not a bad thing though. It is a VERY well build antenna and I am sure I will get lots of use out of it. =]
