Above level pegging! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Not much to add. Simple idea, brilliantly executed. I tried some other solutions but none were as good as this!

One caveat for DinKey users. You cannot use this with the Dinkey in the stand position as it shorts the keyer to earth and send streams of CW!!! A minor issue, to be fair, and one that the makers of 2 excellent products could not have known about.

This is simply a top top product - just buy one!

This is a fantastic product and its a must have for owners of the FT-817, you will wonder how you ever did without it. Your neck will thank you. I would highly recommend to any FT-817 user.

Wondeful attachment for the FT-817 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I am going to have to echo every one elses opinion of the peg leg. Great attachment for the FT-817. Mine are on and not commin off!! Yaesu should include a set of these with every 817 sold. Theres now power like low power:)

Fantastic Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The FT-817ND is a great little rig. One of my only few gripes with this transceiver is that Yaesu didn't include some type of prop-up bar stand to elevate the front. But "Pegleg" solves this problem perfectly! Delivery was fast. Installation took about 5 minutes. The legs fold out of the way when not needed, and are of first class quality.

My only comment would be to "carefully" unpack and inventory the parts. Note the two thicknesses of the plastic washers that comes in the kit. These are very small washers. During installation, one of the thin washers blew off my table without me realizing it (by some mircle, I later found it). No doubt misplacing one of these small parts is easy to do. But not to fear, this kit comes with spare parts! This is a great product!

Great!!! Very Handy!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is one of the handiest items I have found in ham radio!!! Easy to use, very sturdy, and easy to install!!! If you buy a FT 817 you should consider this item!!!

Very nice for the FT-817 Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Bought mine in Friedrichshafen this year. Its a must have addition for the FT-817 and very handy. But be sure to have all modifications already done and all the filters and options are built in in your Rig, as removing and reinstalling the Peg Leg can be a bit annoying.

A Must-Have :-)) Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Easy to order - very quick delivery - easy to follow assembly pictures (Monkey see- Monkey do).
They even included spares of the bits I might drop!! It took less that 5 minutes to install. I did use one size bigger rubber pads (from my local hardware store) and, with a right angle adaptor on the rear antenna socket, I have no problems operating anywhere.
Highly recommended..

The most elegant solution Time Owned: more than 12 months.
As someone who does a great deal of travelling, I appreciate the highly portable facility of the FT-817. The Peg Leg povides an elegant solution, balancing the needs of function with the necessity of ease of transport. The Peg Leg tucks away along the side of the radio when not in use and does not interfere with the outer carrying case. Carrying any other stand would be a burden. These legs can be articulated to suit individual needs and when fully engaged, allow easy access to the various fuctions.

Fantastic little add on Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Not much to say. if you own an 817, you will appreciate these. The heck with extra stands or props to hold your radio up. This is the cleanest most portable way to do it.
