Good receiver, just ok quality Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Radio picks up well, sensitivity seems pretty good, selectivity seems fine. On AM broadcast band, it sometimes has to be tuned off frequency for best reception (this has been reported elsewhere and is true on my radio as well). The bad news - after about 3 months of light duty use (less than one hour per day), the volume pot. is basically shot, jumping all over from quiet to blasting. I have tried blowing air in there to get out any dust to no avail, it seems to be physically broken. Oh well, it's just $100. I'll be trying the CCRadio next.

neat! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Although I rated the better performing E10 a 4, I am giving the E100 a 5 due to it's nearly as good performance in such a small handy box! The radio is very sensitive to weak signals, hard to tell the difference between the E10 and the sensitive E100. It does suffer from images due to single conversion design, and does not feature the IF shift button to shift the image 10KHz as in the E10. The tuning knob tunes only at a slow 1KHz rate...tuning around, as result, not as enjoyable as on the larger E10. The 3 position attenuation switch works well. The E 100 is a hair larger than the fun, but analog Mini 300 PE, and offers all of the advantages of digital PLL tuning and 200 memories. Very little circuit noise. This would be unbeatable if it offered SSB reception. It would also be nice to have a narrow filter option. Still, I love this set!

I am itching to try out a Kaito 1103 to compare with these nice ETON products!
