You can't beat this stick with a stick Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had this antenna for at least 15 years. It has held up great, never needed any attention. It puts out a good signal, and I will regularly swap it for a 1/4wave for comparison.

Anttron is a quiet little company that builds quality antennas, including the magmounts. I've replace other companies antennas and bases on the same car that failed mechanically, while the Anttron keeps going.

Average 2m antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Antenna is built to survive any conditions, very well made & works ok. I never could get the swr below 1.5 but its the same through 2m band. It served me many years until I build a colinear which
works alittle better, but the colinear is 15' tall and the 5/8 is only about 5' tip to tip. I now use this as a scanner antenna and works great for that.

A fine 2-meter antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought this antenna about a year ago and have used it in several different scenarios...from a portable emergency antenna during Hurricane Wilma to a "temporary" base antenna. It has always performed like a 5/8-wave antenna should. SWR is consistently low (flat in part of the band.) Would most likely make a good scanner antenna, too. Recommended!

an OK antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
My finace bought this antenna as our first fixed station antenna. It work just ok for what it is but it needs modifications to get the SWR down below a 1.5. When i first put it up i couldnt get the SWRs below a 1.9-1 across the 2 meter band with only 5 watts input. I had to cut the top element to get the swrs below a 1.5-1 and as of now its still over a 1.5-1 swr. Im not happy with it. The good news is it seems to work ok as i can hit repeaters as far away as 60 miles groundwave. But here soon i think the antenna will be replace with another antenna that has better SWR bandwidth. If you like to tinker on antennas than this one is ok but i expect something to work good out of the box with no mods.
