Great source of VHF propagation Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had this book for several years and within the last 12 months I have become active on the V/UHF bands. This book should be in every ham's book case, it is that good! There is a companion CD with actual recordings of the various propagation modes and anomalies. This should also be part of the well read ham's library. Gordo and Ken did a terrific job of identifying and explaining VHF propagation modes.

A+, OUTSTANDING! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Ken Neubeck and Gordo really wrote a winner with this book. It is technical to a degree, yet reads with ease for every level of amateur operator. From the newby to the very experienced, there is something for everyone in this book. It has really opened my eyes and explained things to me about propagation that I wasn't able to discover from other sources. The book covers virtually all forms of propagation by chapter. The book's contents also help to clearly explain not only VHF, but some HF propagation characteristics as well. I truely enjoyed this book and highly highly recommend it to anyone that wants to broaden their horizons with the subject of propagation. It's a must for anyone's amateur radio library. I might add that I also strongly recommend the book titled: "6 meters- A guide to the magic band" by Ken Neubeck.

Must have for any VHF operator Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This comprehensive book is advertised as a practical guide and that is exactly what it is. It explains in detail, without getting overly technical, all the VHF propagation modes. The graphics are excellent and the book offers great operating and dxing tips in using the various propagation modes. This book is a must have for both serious and casual VHF operators.
