FINALLY SERVICE AND AT A FAIR PRICE Time Owned: more than 12 months.
John repaired my AVR board on my TS-940. He not only fixed the problem but completely refurbished it. I have never seen such craftmenship from any repair shop. Better than new because he also added the upgrades. He is more than a technician....he is a craftman.

Outstanding Service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John repaired an FT-736R for me. John's service was professional in every respect. He told me up front when he'd be available. Then worked me into his schedule just as he said. His shipping instructions were clear. He received the unit, replaced the VFO encoder, found a few of other small problems, fixed them, and returned the unit very quickly. His packaging was top notch. My only complaint was that the bill was too low so I included a tip for his services. You cannot ask for better service. Thank you John.

Kenwood TS2000 Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
When I met John I had an Ameritron 811-H that sat on a technicians desks for months. I wound up buying a Dentron MLA 2500 and sold the Ameritron as an amplifier that needed work.

When John came to my house to buy the Ameritron, he saw a small problem with my TS 2000 that was hooked up to the dentron. The TX relay in the kenwood did not want to release when the amplifier was runnning. After doing a partial reset of the memory and a few adjustments I have gotten more compliments on the quality of sound than any other radio. John refused my attempts to pay him. I guess he thought the price I gave him the Ameritron and a free set of tubes was fair.

As the months passed, I saw problems with the relay again. I sent John an e-mail asking if he could order the parts first. John ordered the part and we set a Sat morning repair date two weeks ago.

My radio was in and out in a hour. He had the repair equipment and knowledge to make things look easy. As a plus we retubed the Dentron 8875's. When I tried to pay him in cash, he handed me a certain denomination bill back to me and stated that I was over paying. Sometimes I do this intentionally to see what a technician will do. John did not know it but he passed my test of being a fair priced techincian.

I can appreciate John's bluntness and honesty. He will tell me if he can get to something or not. He is not the type of person to say he will do something he does not do it. I have seen refuse work and money from me to finish what he has in his shop from others too.

Thanks John. John Hayes Orlando, Fl

TS-930S Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Another one that sat for 20+ years, not broken but just neglected. When I finally tried to use it I got smoke signals instead of RF. John worked his magic and now it's shiny and better than new. Thanks, John, it's like having an old friend return.

Outstanding Service Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
John diagnosed the problem with the finals on my FT-2000D over the phone. This was after speaking to several techs at Yaesu, that were clueless as to what the problem might be. John repaired the FT-2000D at a very reasonable price and I had it back in no time. The transceiver works great! John goes above and beyond, and I would not think of going anywhere else. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Kenwood 440s Time Owned: more than 12 months.
After letting my kenwood ts-440s sit broken for more than 20 years, I found reviews about John and decided it was worth fixing. The quote he gave me was reasonable and he CALL me to let know what was needed and the cost. He fixed everything plus. Great job!!!!!

Excellent service! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have been very impressed with John and his repair service. I have had a previous Yaesu FT-990 with several problems restored to full operation with excellent results and at a fair price. Then I had my current FT-990 modified for better AM receive audio due to a mod that John developed. He has an FT-990 of his own and knows the rig very well.
However, he also has a perfect 5.0 rating after more than 100 reviews so it looks to me as if he has the necessary knowledge to handle a wide variety of rigs. Like others here I can recommend his services. I intend to send my rig to him in the future if it develops any problems I can't handle.

Max pwr out 35 watts Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Let me add my kudos to the many already awarded to John, KI4NC, and his repair service, LPC Wireless in Orange City, FL. I am faculty advisor to the Santa Fe College Amateur Radio Club, K4EAC. Our club's tranceiver, a venerable IC-756 (SN 03754), would only put out 35 watts maximum on transmit and it's auto-tuner wasn't working. Phone onversations with two Icom repair centers made it clear they weren't interested in working on a radio this old because parts for it hadn't been made in years. When I first contacted John he politely refused because he was overloaded and had a two-month backlog. However, within a week he e-mailed he would do the job right away since K4EAC a school radio club and this was it's primary rig. I took the radio to him and he checked it while I waited, nailed the problem and one week later I had the club's radio back, fully repaired. The final bill including replacement transistors, assorted components and labor was more than fair and reasonable. I and the college radio club are very satified customers and can recommend LPC Wireless without reservation. -- Warren Croke, NW4C

SUPERB Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Ask any of the hams in the central FL area and they will tell you the same thing. John is GREAT! I just had my ic820h's -5v dc2dc rebuilt and it looks better than factory. Then my 746pro quit. John took it and found it to be a simple resister out next to the CPU.
Super guy!! Ask him to show you pictures of his repairs to factory repairs. His work is indistinguishable from factory new.
Thanks John for keeping me on the air.

ts 850 kenwood repair Time Owned: N.A.
I had a ts 850 that I got from a good friend who was moving into an apt.and could use it he told me it had bad finals and was not going to repair. I was recommended to john by another who said he was good I only live 80 miles from Johns shop. so I rode down and dropped it off. he told me he was backed up but to come by. He took the cover off and went right to the problem, and said to leave it he gave me an estatment to go though it .I picked it up in a couple of weeks and was very impressed I got great reports and the radio looked like new. He works on all radios and is good honest repair tech. and his work is professional.and he takes pride in what he does and you can leave it and forget it.when he calls you its fixed.
