FT1000MP Repair Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
How much can I say, John was very courteous, prompt and knowledgeable on the repair of my radio. He went out of his way to repair the radio in record time, even with having the parts on hand. I would RECOMMEND John on any ham related repair. As well as my radio he repaired my Kenwood PS-30 power supply, with upgrade.

Kenwood TS440S Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John repaired my Kenwood TS440S in a short period of time. It would not Xmit on 40 meters and the display went out when xmiting on all bands. He found a lot of problems and fixed them quickly. It works like a NEW RADIO now!
He responded to my e-mail about repairs rapidly.

Kenwood TS-440S born again! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought my Kenwood TS-440S as a basket case in April '91. A radio engineer friend got it going after 27 hrs of labor and numerous parts. It is a user friendly radio, is rock solid frequency stable and has all the features that I want so when it developed the "dot syndrome" years later I sent it off and had it repaired; I think I had this done twice. It slowly developed the syndrome again so after seeing the raves over John's work I made arrangements with him to drop it off at his place when we went to Florida on vacation recently. I took the liberty of also bringing my Icom IC-735 that had a little problem that he graciously agreed to fix quickly.
On the 440 John went completely thru the radio and replaced most of the PLL ,VCO parts in the affected areas and cleaned all the potting material and old flux out like a surgeon, also did the Kenwood service mods for the bandpass filter diodes and long term tested for reliability. The complete work list is a page and a half, too much for this review.
My first contact with the "new" 440 was with my cousin on 75 meters and he said I sounded better than he had ever heard me; I love that Kenwood audio! Needless to say the TS-440s is better now than when it left the factory and I'm confident it is the last radio I'll ever need as my base station. I was in no hurry so John shipped it to me later and his packing is the best I have ever seen. Drop kicking that package would only have hurt the kicker. John's fee was VERY reasonable.
I recommend LPC Wireless without reservation. Best service ever in my 56 years as a ham. Thanks John!

Excellent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Excellent, fast and reasonably priced service. I sent my Kenwood Ts-690AT radio to John to check out. Not only did he get my rig working in a timely manner at a reasonable cost

Quick Repair of my TS-850S Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After reading reviews about LPC Wireless, I contacted John about my radio ( just purchased from an estate ) and the problems it had. I delivered it to his location and he performed preliminary diags and identified what the most likely cause was. He informed me that it would be about two days before he would have it completed. Later that same afternoon, he called me and informed me that he had completed the repair. Additionaly, he did some preventative action on it by inspecting the Lithum battery and replaced it as he found that it was starting to leak. He also readajusted the RIT/XIT, power output, and calibrated the S-meter to reflect a S9 reading for 50uV input. FANTASTIC SERVICE !!! and his labor charge was extremely reasonable.
This was the most satisfing transaction that I have had with any repair shop in my 30 years as a ham.
John will have all of my future repair work and I highly reccomend him.

He knows radios Time Owned: more than 12 months.
John resurected a TS-930 for me. He told me what it needed and quoted a fair price. He did an outstanding job on it. When my fathers ts-690 quit, he fixed it in short order.
I find John great at helping sort out a major vs minor problem. I just e-mail him and he always gets back to me.
In summary, he does good work, has very fair fees and is a decent guy.

Tired KNWD TS-850S Given New Liife Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Kenwood TS-850s purchased 1992 - operated 24/7 as scanning HF AFSK MBO through 2002. Then I purchased an IC-746Pro.

After five years of being relegated to the closet as back up position for my WL2K RMS Pactor HF rig, and some less than proper 'tweaking' by yours truly, I sent the TS-850 to John at JPC Wireless. While John's reputation for TS-850s had been well established I was very impressed with all he did to bring the old girl back to life! He understood my concern with not wanting any ALC action during AFSK digital operations and trimmed up the rig from stem-to-stern with far more Tender Loving Care than I've experienced with any repair facility in my 56 years of Ham Radio. I fell in love again with the Kenwood 850 - it is back in service 24/7 on the WL2K AFSK Pactor RMS!

I'm sending the IC-746Pro to John next!

FT-817 Excellent Repair Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John did a great job replacing the final board in my Yaesu FT-817. When I got the rig back, I hooked it up in the mobile to test it out. P40ZB in Aruba from my mobile in Ft. Lauderdale 5W on 20M SSB! I think it works FB.
Service was fast and emails answered quickly. Communication was excellent.

Thanks Again,
Don - N4TZH
