20 years on service bench Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've used a PS-35 on my service bench for 20 years now with no failures. I do notice that it is rather sensitive to quick overloads. If I turn on a mobile with a large input filter capacitor while the supply is running, it will trip off. If I connect and turn on the radio before switching on the PS-35 then all is well.

New PS-35G Failed Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Have a Pyramid PS-35G that I had purchased some years ago but never used. When I bought my new HF rig I decided to use the PS-35G since I sold the power supply with my old rig. Supply voltage was fine and handled the new rig without any problems. I have an indoor antenna which is just above the shack. I noticed that after a while the alarm would occasionally sound on key down, output remained steady. Then after a while it started going into alarm mode on SSB and the PS would crowbar. One day I went into the shack to fire up the rig and the power supply was dead! Could've been the result of a strong electrical storm a few days earlier, but my Yaesu replacement supply has exhibited no such problems. Shame, too. I have less than 4 hours on this supply.

Just an update to my review of 2000. I still have it. It is still running 24/7/365, after 21 years! About 4 times a year, I get a request for a schematic. Sorry, I do not have one. If you find one that works, buy it!!

You may never need another power supply the rest of your life.

Perhaps I have been incredibly lucky, but I bought my Pyramid PS-35 about 1987. It has been on pretty much continuously since that time, approximately 6,575 days, 24 hours per day. Other than one diode that went out and 2 wires to one diode that came un-soldered (which were likely the ones I re-soldered), I have has ZERO problems with it. I use it to drive both my HF rig and my 2 meter DX-Cluster rig @ 50 watts. It has been through one lightening hit on my station and MULTIBLE power surges and like a Timex, “it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.” If anyone has an instruction manual for it, I would love to have one.

Almost 20 years old and still kicking! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought my PS-35 after a PS-25 failed a day after I bought it new. The dealer took it back, but he was out of PS-25's, so he cut me a deal on the 35 instead.

it's been in daily service for about 20 years, running all kinds of stuff, transcievers, receivers, battery chargers, etc. Never had any problem whatsoever.
