A fun radio Time Owned: more than 12 months.
After owning a HW-32 radio for 30 years I decided to pick up the 40 meter radio as I love to operate 40. The HW-22 and 32A I picked up work great. Very easy to tune up with an easy 100 watts of power. The receive is fine with no issues. No drift at all is the best with such a simple design for a single band radio. I use mine frequently searching for DX and checking into boat anchor nets. A fun single band radio from the past.

Quite a surprise Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Hi. I have been a ham since '63 and am kind of a vintage radio freak. This unit cost me $30.00 on ebay in 2014. It was dead as a doornail on delivery but it turned out to be the relay which with a little cleaning and tweezer work came to life and received really well. Surprisingly well, very quiet no doubt because of the triode mixer which you hardly ever see. Replaced one cap in speech amp and that was the extent of repairs. How does it work. Full 100+ watts out. Excellent audio reports. Receive very sensitive and quiet. I liked it so well I bought a hw 12a which also works great. The only negative thing I can see is a dial drive that is too fast. Am scheming on adding a jackson drive to it without uglying it all up. Try it you'll like it de WB0SNF
