Outstanding Product Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I can only second what Chris has said. The software works great. I am using it with an Axim x51v and between having Bluetooth capability and a Wi-Fi connection, I have everything that I need in one neat package.

All my e-mails to Lynn were answered quickly and the product shipped the same day payment was received.

I'm certain that you will be extremely happy with the software/Bluetooth interface combo. I'm using it with an FT-817.

I wrote the only review of CTR-Remote's predecessor, CTR-817, and clearly I'm a fan!

CTR-Remote is an excellent program for rig control and logging on the PPC. It works with more than just the FT 817. In addition to the 817, I've tested it with a Kenwood TS-570 and Yaesu Mark V and the program works well with these radios.

It has all the features you could expect on such a small platform: rig control functions, logging, and some excellent extras. These extras are what set it apart. They include:

QRZ lookups. If you're PPC has wireless capability you can do QRZ lookups on call signs. It really works well.

DX cluster. Enter your favourite DX cluster, set the normal telnet parameters, see the spots, click on the spot and CTR-Remote puts the rig on frequency.

Contest Logging. CTR-Remote has a limited contest logging interface that allows you to enter specific ADIF logging parameters as user tags. These can correspond to ADIF fields like SRX, ARRL-SECT, etc., great for a casual contest effort.

Bluetooth. CTR-Remote can work with a Bluetooth dongle. Lynn has finished the production run of the original CTR-BlueAir and is working on a newer version. I have the CTR-BlueAir dongle and, boy oh boy, it really works well. Being fundamentally lazy, it's just great to lounge on the bed and scan through the bands without being tethered by a serial cable.

CTR-Remote is actually part of a suite of programs that work together. Check out the website for more information on all the options. I've played around with all of them and they work as advertised.

CTR-Remote is a great program to add to your PPC ham radio collection!

Great tool in the pocket Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Nice software package. Has nearly all what you need to operate in the mountain, and furthermore accomplishes a great labor in house by and large with the CTR-SERVER.
The penalty is that does not has module of PSK, but I believe that that is limitation of the machines. If it would not be therefore would be the perfect package.
On the other hand it is a pitty that in the mountains there are not access points to Internet to take advantage the option of the DX Cluster.
Ah!, it were forgotten me, the idea to using Bluetooth connections, simply brilliant.
