The PBX has been designed as a portable HF vertical, ideal for carrying around in the car and using by the side of the road or in a field. Able to handle 200W, it can be used with all the popular compact HF transceivers. Packed down it measures around one metre in length. Erected it extends to around 3.6 metres. A ground spike and all necessary radial wire is included. The antenna is completely self-supporting.

PBX-100 Watson Portable HF Antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This was picked up cheap at an SK Sale, never bothered with it as I had a a QRP Mag loop and a Outbacker Perth, so one sunny April afternoon I took it out put it up this happened to conincide with borrowing the Harrow Clubs Antenna Analyser,10 mins later counterpoise that where easy to unravel it was tuned mid band all 1.1 1.2 though 80 m is knife edge 30 k bandwidth, popped it on a ft817 running on internal batteries 2.5 watts, Ukraine 1st call from London hopped up and down the bands same great reports ok i have a heil 5 mic fitted but this was good reports 55 56. put it all away easy now just pull it out to the permanent black markers and away we go Great, buy one its great
1 Complaint.. no 17m though they say its possible dont, but never managed it so 4 on the mark.
