Great Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have the X-300NA, the N connector version. It has been mounted opn a 15ft mast on my roof for the last 2 years. Ity has survived the cold Manitoba winters, the strong 90 mph winds, ice storms and still works well.

VSWR under 1.5 across the entire 2m Band. UHF rises a bit higher as you work in the 430-435 MHz band band very low in the FM portion of the band.

I have seen no degradation in VSWR or performance over the past 2 years.

No tuning or adjustments are required. Open the box, assemble, install and enjoy.

Performance is what I would expect from this type of design. noticeable improvement over the 15 year old ringo ranger it replaced. Without using a spectrum analyzer, I would estimate about 1/2 to 1 S unit improvement on receive. This is what I would expect.

Mechanically solid, meets performance expectations. A little more expensive than some of the knock offs and clones, but it delivers and seems like it is built to last.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.

Good performance, easy install Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Having a little birthday money I decided to buy a dual-band vertical. I did quite a bit of research and coin tossing before deciding on the Diamond X300A. My goal was to be able to cover the county simplex and "doughnut" county repeaters. I was a little hesitant at first as the pictures do not do the antenna justice. The X300A is a high quality product and includes everything needed to install. The X300A was a dream to assemble and install. I already had a 21’ section of mast attached to the side of the house (the “mast” was a leftover chain-link fence top rail) with a taper at the top. I mounted the X300A to an additional 4’ of mast and slipped it over the existing one securing it with a muffler clamp. This places the X300A at about 25’ above ground and it is being fed with about 60’ of satellite grade RG6 coax. The performance has exceeded my expectations. I have made a simplex contact of over 17 miles with only 5 watts (the other station was using a ¼ wave homebrew), and was able to access repeaters over 60 miles away. I recommend this antenna for anyone wanting a good quality, easy to assemble, high performance antenna.

Great Antenna! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is my second base antenna. Had it up now for about 3 years. Has worked flawlessly. Good solid mounting hardware and the SWR has always been spot on. No complaints at all.
