Excellent Mix Deck Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I went to buy a Behringer UB-802 but ended up walking out with the ALTO AMX-100. Both units are very similar in features and performance, the main difference is the size (the Alto is about 3 times the size) and the ALTO has a 75Hz cutoff filter.
The AMX-100 is a very impressive looking unit, and the photo does not really do the unit justice. The layout of the unit is better than the Behringer UB-802, but you need to find more desk space for it. My only issue with the unit is that it is prone to pick up RF via the power cable. This was an easy fixed with a couple of turns around a toroid. Including a mixer such as the AMX-100 into your transmit audio chain is probably one of the best investments you can make to make your on-air audio sound great.
