Review Summary For : OptiBeam OB5-15 (High Performance 5el monoband Yagi 15m)
Reviews: 1MSRP: 1,050
Description:
The OB5-15 is a modern computer optimized 5 element wide spaced OWA design for the 21 MHZ range.
Gain and pattern are stable across the entire 15m band and represent the absolute optimum to be achieved on this 10 meter (33 foot) long boom.
The SWR is extremely flat from the beginning up to the end of the band.
The entire construction (boom, elements) is extra heavy duty.
This is the monoband Yagi for the OM and the contester with extremely high demands.
Product is in production

The way to serious DX! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
We are using this antenna in the contest-QTH of DL0AO. The SWR is excellent. Lifting this antenna from 10m to 24m with our crank-up tower did not show any affect on the SWR behaviour. No tuning necessary! All other Yagis in our QTH show an SWR changing a lot with the height above ground, not so the Optibeam. The pattern was tested with our 800m away "power line noise source". It is very clean, low sidelobes and excellent front/back ratio. The elements are tapped very often, so this antenna has very strong tubings on places, where it is necessary. No hanging elements, no wind resonances....a very stiff construction! Mechanically and electrically: This is the best designed HF antenna we ever used.
