GREAT RADIO BUT KEEP IT COOL Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought this radio back in 1999 from someone who hardly ever used it. I like UHF so all 3 displays are on different UHF freq's. I like to leave my radios on 24/7 but this radio gets quite warm by doing this. Heat is harmful so i leave a cooling fan to blow on the outer case. This keeps the radio cool, but gets dusty from this. Each band has it's own coax connector. I wish it had only 1, but the radio works great, & doesn't get intermod. Display is visible from any angle & easy to see. Even with the heat & 3 connectors I rate this radio a 5. I paid $350 for this radio, but was as new. I think it was near $1000 when new, which is why not many were sold. Many people have offered to buy it from me for more than I paid, but I won't let it go. GARY N4KVE
