The Best Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Bombproof !, a simply fantastic receiver, no other 2m multimode comes near this, transmitted audio even on the stock mic is superlative.
If you see one, buy it, what more can I say.
Ignore comments by users who cannot fathom intereference problems and then blame the radio !
The fact is, contesters, Microwave users and DX enthusiasts can't be wrong, you will find no finer mono-band transceiver.

Built like a brick...... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I got one of these cheap on ebay (275H), it had been dropped or hit really hard. The tuning knob was jammed so you could hardly move it, rit and memo knob were bent also. I took the front all apart down to the bare frame, hammered it back flat, put it all back together and it works great!
This thing took a really (REALLY) hard hit and wasnt a total loss, nothing really broken, just bent. On the air its great, fantastic receive, and when you talk, people listen (they have no choice!) Its heavy, like an HF rig, a REAL radio, not 2 chips and a couple of buttons. They still bring a decent price, but it is cheap when you consider the caliber of radio you are getting. I fear we wont see radios like this anymore due to the cost of production, this originally cost as much as an HF rig ($1200+ I think), nowadays people get HF thru 440 for $750 (FT100D).

Terrific 2m all-mode Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have the IC-275H without the passband tuning ("Data level" control instead). This little radio works great - good RX sensitivity, although there are a few birdies around 144.070 - .100. Overall, great capability, and all modes work well. Mine will not quite make 100W output for some reason, but at the RX end there will be little difference. Has many features of larger HF rigs. It's probably my last VHF all-mode rig.

Simply the best! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I too have owned most of the 2m multimodes produced in the last 15 years. Simply put, the IC-275H is the absolute best. Fabulous receiver, passband tuning very effective for weak signal ssb, excellent FM operation and performance, small size. 100W transmitter means no external amps, etc., excellent modulation, speech compression that really works and sounds as good as it works. This is the only 2m multimode I'll ever need/want.

Best receiver I have heard to date Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I've had 3 different all-mode 2 meter rigs and the 275H is by far the most sensitive, responsive, and selective receiver I have heard...it really digs out the signals with or without the pre-amp. Talk power is right on the money, 105watts on FM and 100-125 on SSB/CW, couple this with a beam and you have a potent DX combo. Am I happy, you bet! I now have 2!

VERY HOT RECEIVER Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have owned both the 275H with passband tuning and without. The 100 watts is very nice, and it has the most sensitive, best receiver of any 2m all-mode I have owned( ic-820H, ic-970a, ft736r ic-706mkIIg ). Mine has all installed options except the optional cw filter.I have owned one without the cr-64 high stability option, and for all practicall purposes it really isn't necessary, as I have found them to be very stable without. Can't go wrong with one of these rigs. The only thing I have had go wrong is the fm center freq adjustment was off and scan mode wasn't stopping on received frequencies, but that was an easily done, minor adjustment.( note: I received the radio used out of alignment, and it hasn't had any problems since. ) If I could only find a matching 475H.

Best 2meter multimode I have ever had. Time Owned: unknown months.
The 275A is the 30 watt modeli Is very convenient to operate and performs excellent. I have had mine since 1991, and it hasn`t skipped a beat. I use it with a 200 watt brick, which makes it a formidable station. I installed the 250 hz. filter, which makes it fantastic for weak signal cw. Is a classic and still commands a high price on the used market. Is a keeper. Will keep mine until it dies.
