BEST Icom Service!!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Matt gives the finest, most honest appraisal of problems in Icom gear and does the best job of putting them back to better than factory. He has worked on my PW-1 that came to me defective from a dealer, and worked on my IC-7700 AFTER I was ignored and lied to at Icom, Bellevue!!! Matt has all my Icom repair, warranty or otherwise, from now on, no more West Coast lies for me.

My ICOM 756PRO3 had been exposed to induced high voltages as a result of a lightning strike on my property. I sent my ICOM to Matt and, after his diagnosis, he called with an accurate estimate of the needed repairs to the front end.
After I approved the repair, Matt quickly made the repairs, tested and shipped it back. The entire process took about 3 weeks.
It was encouraging to me knowing that Matt's expertise with ICOM products allowed him to diagnose and repair the problem efficiently, ultimately saving me additional expense.

Great follow-up and repair work Time Owned: more than 12 months.
After the initial problem posted below, Matt repaired my several year old IC-706Mk2G radio with the new version boards and did a complete alignment. It works better now (about 90 days after receipt) than it ever did before. Again, great follow-up by Matt after the initial poor communications. I've also recommended Matt's repair facility to two other hams in my local club who need repairs on their IC-706 units and weren't sure where to go for high quality repair service on Icom amateur products.

I can not say enough about Matt and the repair experience with SAR Technical Services, Inc. I have used Matt for the last three years for the repair of my ICOM radios. The repairs are timely, affordable and complete. Matt goes the extra effort to insure the radio is repaired right the first time. If he has a question or concern regarding the problem with the radio, you get a phone call before he proceeds with the repair. Matt leaves me with the feeling I have sent my radios to a trusted friend not just a repair service.

Matt called yesterday to tell me that my 706mkiig was repaired and ready to be shipped. Here is the kicker, it only cost $63.11 including shipping. The problem was something he was aware of, so troubleshooting time was at a minimum. In these circumstances it would be so easy to just hit the guy for an easy $20 or more for nothing. This kind of honesty deserves to be rewarded. To say that I was flabbergasted when he told me the charge would be an understatement. Great person to do business with.

My IC-751A was in need of a check up/alignment.Delivered the radio to Matt and was quoted a reasonable price for the work.About 3 weeks later radio was ready for pick up.Works great now-Matt is a excellent technician.
