Excellent in Many Ways! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I had a small problem with my IC 746 and contacted Mike. He diagnosed the problem, gave me shipping instructions and promptly repaired and returned my rig running like new. He is great at keeping his customers informed by email throughout the process, charges a very fair price and is very skilled in his work. I've used Mike a couple of times and have always been 100% pleased. He is an outstanding resource for the ham community!

GREAT ADVICE FROM N1EQ Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Contacted Mike via email about a problem I was having w/my icom 746. Very quickly replied and suggested I try a few things. I did what he suggested. WOW!!! This guy is good. My rig never has performed the way it does now. Thanks again Mike.

Great service & support! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I contacted Mike stating that my Icom 746PRO made me sound like I was under water. He had me try various items via e-mail first to rule out a problematic power supply. Once he confirmed it was the radio, he asked me to send it in. When it arrived, he sent an e-mail to let me know it had arrived safe and sound and would look at it soon. The next day he wrote that he had found some problems and needed to do more troubleshooting and pointed out that there is no charge for "head scratching" time. He then got back to me with the problems he had found and what he had done, which included doing factory updates and a few things as a precaution. He then said he'd like to keep it a couple of days for good measure. When he returned it, he included the defective parts that were replaced. When I got back on the air with a local friend, he said I've never sounded better.

I highly recommend Mike as he did a great job, was prompt with e-mail replies and he charged a very fair price.

The very best! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Mike has repaired equipment for me over the past 10 years. I have always found him to be professional, honest, extremely competent and very fair in his pricing. Mike will not take on a job that he is not reasonably certain he can repair. If you are looking for the very best in amateur equipment repair, look no further. Mike is your man and I am pleased to give him high marks in all categories! Dick/K1DPM

Great fellow! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I contacted Mike about a strange problem with my ic-r7000. He wrote me right back, suggested a simple possibility. He was right on!

When I need something repaired, I'll make Mike my first choice!

Great experience Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My TS-450sat had low output. Sent to Mike by referral of AD3G. Mike had it figured out and fixed very reasonable and back to me in a week. I only wish he would work on my older rigs ;-). I highly recommend his services and would go back again. Thanks Mike!

Kenwood TS2000 failed to Tx Time Owned: more than 12 months.
When I turned on my Kenwood TS2000 and connected computer after a month or so of non-use, The computer smoked!! When I checked radio it had no Tx.
Probably caused by a power surge. We have frequent power drop-outs here in NW WI.

Sent radio to Mike. He did a FAST repair (replaced driver transistors and fuse)
and at a very reasonable cost.
Mike always responded quickly to emails.

But Dummy me I failed to save memory settings..

One of the Best Service Experiences I have Ever Had! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have sent two radios to Mike. I purchased these radios recently on eBay (for my own use) and both of them had trouble. The ICOM 756 Pro II has a muting circuit problem (of which Mike was very familiar). The ICOM 821 H was behaving erratically. Mike spent three weeks on the ICOM 821H (with the majority of that "think time" of which he would not charge me). Mike hung in there and found the problems (bad solder joints from a nearby regulator's hot and cold cycles and bad ribbon cables thanks to being seated one too many times at some point in the radio's past). I have known service techs that would have given up, sent it back, or just left it on the bench and got back to it when then could. Not Mike...He kept me informed of the radio's progress--even asked to call so we could discuss the radio on the phone. I cannot say enough good things about the service. If you have a problem with a radio, do yourself (and your radio) a favor, and email Mike to get it fixed!

Exceeds expectations. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've used Mike a few times for repair of my IC-706MKIIG and both times the service was quick with great communications. He stands behind his work and goes above and beyond. Many service organizations should take lessons fron this guy on how to treat customers. Thanks again.
