First class technician. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I can't stray from the unanamous consent that Mike is as close to perfect as you can get. He took on my low serial number 746PRO that had a couple of issues and was missing 4 factory updates. Radio went out of the shack and came back in 9 calendar days. So if you count shipping out and shipping back and one weekend in the middle, Mike doesn't mess around. The radio works better than ever. I am very pleased. Rates were very reasonable and the prices charged for the parts were way low. Great communications in between.
Every business in the world could take a lesson from Mike. He is a PRO. Thanks Mike.

Thorough Repair of FT-757GX Time Owned: more than 12 months.
When my 24-year-old FT-757GX needed repair, I learned of Mike Nadeau from this site. His technical skills are exceptionally good, but even more important, he is scrupulously honest with his billable hours. (He'd have gone broke as an attorney! They work 30 hours a week and bill for 40. Mike would have billed for exactly 30, no more, no less.)

We had a long thread of email as he got to the bottom of what was ailing my rig. He also went above and beyond by accepting payment directly from a third party payor, which I'm not sure is something he does regularly. He seems flexible and will accommodate if the request is reasonable.

Highly recommended.

Excellent service TS-690S Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Recently my old Kenwood TS-690S would not respond to the controls and the display malfunctioned. Mike responded to my inquiry the very next day and accepted the radio the following week despite going on vacation the week after that. It was repaired quickly on receipt, including an unrelated problem I wasn't aware of, and given a thorough check-out and partial alignement, all for a third of what I expected to pay. I cannot recommend Mike's services highly enough!

Excellent ! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Mike defines customer service and repair quality. Very quick replies to my emails, prompt and professional service, and very fair prices. I was very pleased with his work; he even emailed me a picture of the affected part prior to repair. Prompt turn around. I would use Mike again without question.

Excellent, Professional Service Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Mike is definitely the one to go to when your rig needs repair. My IC-746PRO came down with a no transmit condition after more than two years of ownership. Having heard the horror stories associated with Icom factory repair, I checked out the eHam reviews and came across Mike. I'm sure glad I went with Mike. It couldn't have been a smoother process. Mike kept me informed every step of the way during the repairs, the repairs were made in an extremely timely fashion, and his rates are very reasonable and fair.

Yaesu FT-890 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I contacted Mike before I sent the rig to him for repair. Not only did Mike give me a good idea of what he thought the problem was (a shorted diode in the front end) but he also gave me an excellent idea of the cost to repair. I got the rig back in less then 7 business days and the radio performs flawlessly. Mike also found that the rig was drifting and offered to repair that as well at a very reasonable cost. We can all be confident that Mike will do a great job and communicate all the circumstances to us in a very timely fashion.

Highly Recommended Time Owned: more than 12 months.
It's hard to say anything that hasn't already been said. Professional service, great communications, and more than reasonable rates. Mike knows his stuff, and you will more than likely find that out in his initial e-mail response. You'll be hard pressed to find better service.

My rig was sent to Mike, repaired, and back in the shack in 7 days, two of which were UPS weekend days. Throughout its stay Mike kept me informed of his work, including photos. He also provided great advice and recommended a mod to help prevent the issue from reoccurring. And, to top it off, Mike corrected a tuning knob issue, gratis.

IC-746Pro Tuning problem Time Owned: more than 12 months.
By now, everyone knows that Mike knows his stuff and that he works incredibly hard for his customers. It's just a question of numbers now, so I include this review. Typical story when you talk IC-746Pros. Out of warranty and it just needed a little help (rotary encoder problem). Mike's reviews make Icom service look pretty lame, so I do what we all like to do - go with a winner. Mike diagnosed, repaired and advised on a fix for my intermittent display. He fixed that too. Now my 746Pro is performing just like new. Thanks, Mike.
