A timeless radio that never ages. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned a Trio TS-811E from new and i'd never part with it.
Kenwood didn't make many VHF or UHF bases, and this one truly is legendary. It compares well to modern rigs and were built to last. I've never had a fault with mine, not even in the slightest.
My only complaint is that you apparently can't fit the CTCSS tone board into the european 'E' models because they have a 1750hz toneburst board fitted in the socket instead. Apart from that they are a reliable radio that will happily run day after day, hour after hour, and will give you many hours of quality transmission backed withan audio quality that cannot be beat.
