Good antenna/bad service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Received antenna with shipping box in great condition. Upon opening box & removing parts onto a bench the pl-239 chassis connector fell out loose. It had been half soldered to the phasing harness. After a close examination only one of two wires had solder on it & the end of the pl-239 had none. There was a small amount of corrosion in the end. I contacted Raibeam by email & got a reply back that said they were sorry UPS had damaged the box. I informed them the box was not damaged & it appeared every bit as a bad solder job. Since I wanted this antenna up I inquired as to what a new phasing Harness would cost. I never heard from them again & sent it a second time with no reply. I had a new connector & soldered & sealed it. I inquired as to what kind of reading I should get on the connector with a meter & still no reply.

Delivers what it promised! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've worked VK0IR, 3Y0X, and many others on 17M first call. Why ask why? It's an excellent product, has withstood severe WX and wind, and performs as well as my F-12 C4SXL in the harsh Interior Alaskan environment. Hopefully Chuck WA7RAI can overcome difficulties and resume production. I'd add the optional 12M kit tomorrow if it were available. 73 Gary NL7Y
