NG out of the box Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A brand new antenna mount that was faulty right out of the box. I was reading as low as 15 ohms to as high as a meg ohm from one end to the other, depending on how hard I pressed on the probes. There is a brass rivet that is the connection between the center conductor of the SO-239 and the 3/8-24 mount. A pointed steel punch and 3 hits with a hammer around the edges of the rivet made the connection good again. Did they not stake the rivet hard enough at the factory or what? Now it works well but for how long?

Worked fine for me Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had no problems with mine, ran a 102 inch whip on it for months and months. Add a heavy duty spring if running Hustler mobile masts and resonators, or other antennas of the like. Can be bought for $15 to $20 at CB shops.

Risky Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
These are advertised and sold as "Heavy Duty".
Bought one new for about $19 at a truck stop.
Wilson also markets the same model under the name of "Barjan". Used a big Swan 45 HF antenna with it and it became intermittent. That is, within about three weeks of the stress of the big antenna on it, the center conductor of the coaxial SO239 part became intermittent to the top center conductor 3/8 24 part. I sent it in under warranty where they quickly replaced it. And the second one failed exactly the same as the first. These may be OK for light weight antennas. If you need a gumdrop try the Lakeview HK-1 or the MFJ as they seem better. I bought a Lakeview HK-1 and it appears made differant and seems to be holding up well electrically with my big Swan 45. If you buy one, save your receipt and the carton. When it fails with your big antenna send it in for a free replacement (you pay postage one way) and use the replacement only for small or medium whips.
