Tower Works: That title says it all—if you need tower work done, from installation to repair, I can probably help you! With 59 years of ham radio experience, I’ve worked on most every size & make of tower/beam, & specialize in Rohn guyed-towers (25, 45, 55G, etc.). Have a solid mechanical & engineering background (NCJ contributing editor), along with all the necessary skills & tools to install, take down, or repair your system, whether it’s 20 or 200-feet high. Reasonable rates, good reviews, & ability to travel.

Don did an excellent job of changing out my Ham lV rotor on top of my 50 foot tower. He did the rewiring and testing of the new rotor before leaving my QTH. I was impressed with his skill and knowledge.I recommend Don to anyone with a an antenna or tower problem that needs attention.

Don, Thanks for the help! After riding a 30' tower to the ground several years back I have not been up one since. I'll jump out of an airplane, but I won't do tower work anymore! I needed help. Because Don does so many tower upgrades and take downs he is also a great source of high quality used towers, tower parts, and antennas. I've gotten several items from him and all have been a great value. Don knows his stuff so you won't get misidentified junk.

After a lighting strike, Don removed all the damaged pieces and reinstalled 2m/440m, KT-34xa, 40m rotatable dipole, rotor, and switch box. Very professional job.

When I needed help putting up my tower, I consulted Don for his expertise. He was prompt and ready to work. When there were some parts missing for the tower, Don went out to get them so that I wouldn’t have to. He was considerate, yet hardworking. Quick rotor change out Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Gave Don a call and set up a day to change out my HAM-M rotor. After doing a safety check on my tower and adjusting my guy wires he removed my old HAM-M rotor and installed it with a HAM-III replacement I had. I was the ground crew and it took him about half the time I thought it would take. He left me as a happy camper. Don has all the professional gear he needs to do any kind of tower work. I would highly recommend him for your next tower installment or anything to do with climbing a tower. He stresses safety first and is very professional.

We needed major antenna and tower work. Our Optibeam OB11-3 and Hy-Gain XM240 yagis, mounted on our 120 ft tower, were damaged during an ice storm and needed to come down, get repaired, and re-mounted. No trivial task. Don came through. Mission accomplished. Highly recommended? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!

Great work-Great Price Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
After trying to find someone to put up my tower and antenna, I found Don K4ZA. Don did a site survey and materials were ordered.Don even went and picked up my AN Wireless tower and delivered it to my backyard. Don was here during the entire project. Even when I had some problems with the Prosistel rotor, Don kept a cool head and all was resolved.
He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and it was quire evident during the installation. If you need expert tower or antenna work, call Don NOW. He is VERY BUSY.

This was my first acquaintance with Don Daso, and I picked up on his existence via these eham product reviews. I had a Tennedyne T-12 log that was “floating in the wind”, and I needed Don to install a new device being marketed by Tennedyne called a Slipp-Not. Don’s schedule was such that my wife and I were going to be on vacation in California when he was slated to do the work. So, from my mountain cabin at Lake Tahoe, at 6AM PST, I get a call from Don that he was on site and ready to commence the work. My 34 year old non-ham son was housesitting and assisted Don at times as ground crew, but Don spent the entire day performing a variety of maintenance task including rewiring the rotor connection and shoring up some feed lines that had been badly torn in the wind. My hat’s off to his work- he is a genuine professional and well worth the investment.
