Tower Works: That title says it all—if you need tower work done, from installation to repair, I can probably help you! With 59 years of ham radio experience, I’ve worked on most every size & make of tower/beam, & specialize in Rohn guyed-towers (25, 45, 55G, etc.). Have a solid mechanical & engineering background (NCJ contributing editor), along with all the necessary skills & tools to install, take down, or repair your system, whether it’s 20 or 200-feet high. Reasonable rates, good reviews, & ability to travel.

Don arrived early and soon got down my 6-meter antenna allowing the (faulty) feed line to be changed. He then gotit back up and working again - all within three hours and his charge was most reasonable.

Don Dazo is one of the best! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Double D Dazo came out and together we lowered my tower reinstalled 4 verticles with new feedlines, installed a Yaesu G-1000 rotor, a force 12 C3S antenna, all atop a US 41' crankup. Don is prompt, fair and a wealth of knowledge. He is worth his hourly rate as an Elmer alone. He never tired of me asking questions, of a hobby that is second only to my family. He has earned the distinction as, the king of crankups!

If you have extreme weather, have Don beef up your antennas before he puts them up. I don't make a move without consulting with Don. He's also a great planner and project manager.

Don came out to do some repairs at the top of my tower. He got it done quickly and made it look easy despite the bad weather. I wish I used him right from the start, then I wouldn't have had problems to begin with!

His rates are reasonable and his service is excellent, as is his knowledge of towers and antennas. Highly recommended.

I have known Don for about 25 years. I have done a lot of tower work in the past, but am no longer able. In discussing this with Don, he offered to come out to Missouri and do some work with me. We communicated by phone and e-mail to get as much prep work done as possible. He arrived the first week of July in the best part of the MO heat and humidity. It was amazing how prepared he was and how much stuff he had crammed in the pickup. Despite the heat, all went smoothly. We got a TH11 up 60' and a XM240 up 90'. He is very good at what he does and very reasonable. I would highly recommend his services to anyone needing tower work done. I am planning another project later this year and will try and coax him west again.

Professional All The Way Time Owned: N.A.
Don were at my place yesterday to help get the last two yagis on my 140 foot tower. This was a difficult install...made even more difficult by sub 30 degree F temps.

Don did what can only be called a 100% professional job from start to finish. I was extremely pleased by his work and will not hesitate to have him back in the future.

Another thing I like about Don is that he's always ready to give you good advice about how to do things better.

His rates are very reasonable and the quality of his work is outstanding.

Don went out of his way to get to my place recently to do a few hours of tower work. He did a great job and i would recommend
him to anyone without hesitation.

I can't climb anymore so I hired Don to change out a trap that I had burned out in my tri-band Yagi. He was on time and the job was done quickly. The next day he came by and said that he had noticed that I had installed connectors that were too small going into my hairpin match and brought new ones to change them out. Now I can get the AL-811 to deliver full power on ten meters.

I have had the pleasure of working with Don for a number of years on various antenna and tower projects in the Charlotte area. The projects were all for other Hams in our area and not my personal station. I was always amazed at Don's knowledge of how to make things happen and to overcome obsticles that will pop up during an installation. If you are considering any tower or antenna projects that need a professional installer with an expereienced background then Don, K4ZA is your man.
