Great interface - superb soundcard Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I want to inform how the DigiKeyer and its build in soundcard performs for lowlevel signals at EME and Meteorscatter with the software WSJT by K1JT.

I tested the DigiKeyer past weekend 11.11.2006 at the ARRL international EME contest on 144 MHz.

The DK's build in soundcard is dramatically less noisier than my comparison with a soundblaster audigy. That can be well seen in the software included waterfall diagram. That will give you better decodes: I had for the first time with the DK's soundcard a signal decode at -33 dB !! That's what the software theoretical can decode - never had it before with the sb audigy.

The connection to the usb2 port is very fast and a must be because wsjt left you only 8-10 sec. time to decode.

Also there is no noise via the usb port seen - if there is it would be seen also at the waterfall.

It is a real fun to setup signal in/out with the DK and it's soundcard; no more searching for right soundmapper settings.

At all I can reconommend the DK all EME and Meteorscatter enthusiast. It's much better than any soundcard I have tested and I did much.

Hope this info will help some for a decision for the DK.

Great device and easy to use Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
It was a struggle inside me...300EURO for a digital interface.

But is must say; its worth every cent. I bought it at WIMO/Germany.

Realy simple out of the box installation. Plugged the audio cable in the IC756, the USB cable in the notebook, installed the software and all my HAMware runs fine with it:

- Swisslog
- Digipan
- MMTTY
- MMSSTV
- Logger32

I like the analog control at the DigiKeyer - no ominous MixerSettings, straight forward and reproducable.

The router software also works fine on my WinXP with Bluetooth und USB serial ports.

Never got any complains about my signals!

Flawless Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I had the desire to try RTTY after many years of strictly CW and SSB. My first experience with other interface boxes was frustrating and did not allow me to use Write Log, my contesting software of choice. I purchased DigiKeyer and very shortly after installing the box I was on the air. Well, almost. Overlooked the proper jumper setting for my Icom and did not have CAT at first. MMTTY took some tweaking to produce FSK rather than AFSK but all in all I was done in an hour.

Terrific product Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I am truly impressed with the performance of this product. The setup and installation for both hardware and software was easy. I think the manual is a little more clearly written then the manual for the microKEYER which I found a bit confusing. microHAM products are high quality, the construction and engineering is solid with performance to match. So far I have used this unit with Ham Radio Deluxe, MMSSTV, MMRTTY, DX4WIN and the FT1000MP mKV with absolutely no issues

Very versatile box! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought mine at Dayton. Having bought a new computer with no serial or parallel ports, I was in need of a new way to interface the radio to the PC. Also, as a HAL DXP-38 user since they came out new, I wanted to try a different decoder to see how it worked. I can say that on almost all counts, I'm very pleased. The box came sans jumpers (used to configure the rig interface - they'are supposed to be packed inside), but a quick trip to Fry's cured that. Next, as the previous reviewer noted, as someone new to this method of interface, although not new to computers or TNC's, it was a bit daunting. The solution is to take one's time, read the material and digest it. Also, like the previous reviewer, I needed an example of how to configure MMTTY for use with the DigiKeyer. One note to Joe, W4TV, who does tech support for the US, resulted in his sending me his settings, which gave me the few tips I needed to get it running. So far, so good. Its built in "sound card" appears to do as well as my HAL, and perhaps slightly better in rising and falling noise. I'm impressed! Also, another concern of mine was CW generation using the USB. With my PC (2.8 GHz Dell Pentium-D) it has no problem generating great sounding CW. I have only used it for a day or so, but it sure solves (so far) the COM/LPT port problem for me.

Excellent Product! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is my first attempt at using a device of this type. I have to say it was smooth sailing! It is a little intimidating when you read the instructions about USB device routers, virtual ports, etc but a few minutes with the manual and a little trial and error and it all becomes quite clear. I have configured several digital programs and Ham Radio Deluxe for use with the Digi Keyer and my FT-1000 MP MKV Field and so far it works flawlessly. My only wish would be for some included set up procedures for the most common digital programs such as MMTTY and Digipan to name a couple. MMTTY in particular has a few changes that must be made to accomodate FSK RTTY. It however doesn't detract from the overall rating of the Digi Keyer, it is just something that I think would help out hams who are not real familiar with navigating software menus. Good job, I preordered the unit.. got a notice that they were in, sent in the payment info and the unit arrived 3 days later... doesn't get much better than that. 73 Tim.... nz8j
