A great little product by Erickson Engineering Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased this balun to feed a folded dipole on 6 Meters. My original set up was with a 300 ohm ribbon feed using a matching capacitor.

The folded dipole has good bandwidth characteristics which is what I was looking for.

I use an IC-502 and small amplifier which achieves 10 Watts output on the Thruline, key down that’s maximum continuous power for this balun. I also tested it with my 6M transvertor running 25watts SSB with no adverse effects.

50 MHz is at the top of its range but what a difference this made to Receive and transmit. Not just low SWR across the whole of 6M and a few s points on the local beacon but a good reduction in local QRN.

If you run QRP you have to get everything right. To me QRP means efficient not cheap! These aren't an expensive product and are well worth investing in.

I would be interested to hear from anyone using this on the lower bands.

Roll on the sporadic e season.
