Doesn't Live Up to It's Potential Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned several versions of this program through the years. I find it still has most of the same problems in each iteration:

- No way to update the alwasy 0ut-of-date database on-line

- Limited mapping detail

- Navigating the maps is difficult

- Limited compatibility with radio control programs

ver 11 Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The newest version changed the repeater output file.
Does not work for input to FTB60. Maybe other programs.
There is a replacement .exe file that reverts to the old output format.
Still trying to get the new exe.

Out of date Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have found the repeater information to be very out of date. You should be able to update it from the internet. Also as others have noted you cannot zoom in to get detail in urban areas.

Has Potential Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I agree with the previous review. In comparison with existing software, Travel Plus Version 8.0 is lacking features. The inability to zoom in is the most negative criticism. The map of Arizona covers the whole state plus half of the adjacent states. Trying to see repeaters in the Phoenix area is difficult because I cannot zoom in. The program has potential but this version is limited.

Good tool - could be better Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
TravelPlus for Repeaters is a good product, not a great product, primarily due to human interface issues. I used it recently while planning several trips and while it generally provided all the information I needed, it fell short in some areas. The human interface aspect is poor in that it does not permit free scrolling around the map, or zoom in/out operations, while planning and entering a route. It does have a rather awkward north-south/east-west "scroll" mechanism, but that is difficult to use and sometimes impossible to scroll an area of interest to center screen.

It would also be nice to be able to designate several areas of interest without having the software draw a route between them. This would be handy during commercial flight trips, where you are in city X, then fly to city Y and on to city Z, etc., while not having the use of your radio between the cities. TravelPlus will give you all the repeater information for the cities along with information for all the repeaters between the cities -- more than needed. The only way to do this is to run separate reports for the cities of interest, but that does not allow you to get a single data file for input to your programming software, which is a pain.

Overall, the product is good. I would buy it again primarily because it fills a void, but if there was a similar product that had decent mapping navigation tools with similar repeater database access, I would probably purchase it instead. If TravelPlus worked like Street Atlas in that respect, it would be a great product.
