Outstanding service! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I purchased an FT-101E at an SK sale last fall to use as a back-up. Turned out to be a low-output dog with no SSB audio. Some previous owner had fiddled with it, misaligning it and toasting the finals. I shipped it to Carol at Certified Electronics and got back a jewel. Carol has it working like a new rig now. Tons of output and I'm getting great signal reports. It now works better than my FT-101EE primary rig!
Turnaround was super-fast.
Repair cost was very, very reasonable. Communication was great and the result was outstanding. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat.

Carol did a fantastic job repairing my FT-101EE. After receiving the radio from Carol, right out of the box first contact on 20M was 9K2FM. Not only did Carol fix the power supply problem, she also performed a full alignment, cleaned all controls, and restored the original velvety smoothness to the VFO. My FT-101EE is now like a new radio. Thanks so much for your professional attention and for your expertise.

A pair of QTR-24's restored. Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I received a pair of Yaesu QTR-24's a while back that needed some TLC. One had a broken 24 hour ring and the other was running very slow and needed cleaning. I contacted Carol W4CLM and sent them off. Within a short time she had them repaired and shipped back to me. EXCELLENT job! They worked perfectly and looked like new. If you have a QTR that is in need of repair, don't mess with it, send it to Carol!

I would like to say that it is a real pleasure to have dealt with Certified. Only wish I had known about them earlier!! My radio( FR-101D) was fixed to like a brand new receiver. I was contacted when radio was delivered-notified what the problem was and the rest is history. The whole scenerio was handled in a very profesional mannerism. Turn around time was very quick. The repairs were excellent and tediously done-no quick fixes!! QTR-24 Clock repair Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Clock was losing time badly and it fact, had finally stopped. Carol fixed what was needed, cleaned up the 30+year old case and face to better than factory specs and got the old ticker to beating right on time. Clock was well packed and shipment was prompt and on time. She kept me informed all thru the repair process. First rate repair job, I highly recommend Carol's service.

GREAT JOB- FT-990 REPAIR Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Carol did a great job repairing my FT-990.She communicated with me all through the process to update her progress. The rig came back better than when I bought it used in 2003. The audio section had failed and it had an intermittent fan. I would trust her with any of my equipment and plan to allow her to repair another piece of "vintage" Yaesu gear in the future. Repair rates were also very reasonable-a very well run business.

I sent my FR101 FL101 to W4CLM in 3weeks had it back and running like it should, Thanks for a great job on repairs and very fast service, not to mention a fair repair bill that beats all the other competition.

Carol did a super job of repairing my QTR-24..in fact it is like a new one. Super individual to work with, very friendly and very professional and a real credit to the hobby.

I purchased my first classic FT-101EE from my elmer who was given it from a friend of a friend to sell in perfect working order..(you know the story) I jumped at the chance as the price was rite and the radio was in great cosmetic condition.
Well it was to good to be true radio had some problems...smoking problems things did not look good. I was almost ready to throw the thing in the trash after plugging it in and seeing stars and stripes (sparking stars and stripes) and then the shack lights went out.
I put the radio on the floor in the garage untill I decided to send it to Carol Maher. I just had to know if there was a chance to bring this old girl back. After recieving an email Carol sent me a very detailed write up about problems with wiring and capacitors ect ect. She gave me the reassurance that if anyone could fix it - it would be her. Several emails of constant progress updates and after pulling an all nighter on the rig - Thats exactly what she did. She is the best and I would trust her with the space shuttle..she could have told me the radio was beyond repair and kept it for the graveyard. Carol made the radio look like new. She replaced several parts and cleaned all the controls , aligned it. She also worked on the AC and DC Powersupplies and corrected several issues. Now I have this beautiful rig on the radio shelf. If Carol works on your rig you know that what she tells you is solid information, and the work is top notch.Having a radio brought back to life that was manufactured when I was only 5 years old and now working the world with it gives me great satisfaction and enjoyment.
