Yaesu 2500 Repair Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I recently sent an old Yaesu 2500 2 Mtr. mobile rig to Certified Electronics for diagnosis and possible repair They promptly Emailed an estimate not to exceed a certain amount and upon my authority they were able to repair and return the radio with very fast turn around. It now is working fine and back to original specs. Very knowledgable people with prompt service and fair pricing. What more can you ask for? I highly recommend Certified.

Certified Electronics is the best place to send your rig . Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This makes the 2nd time I have sent my FT101EE to Certified Electronics in GA. Finding them on the internet was the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. The work they perform is second to none! I live in Charlotte NC and have to pay shipping charges to get my rig to Carol. I could have the repair work done locally but Carol does such a wonderful job that it is worth every penny I spend getting it down there. The first time I sent my rig there I was a little concerned about the work that needed to be performed but she did everything that needed to be done and did a superb job on it. If you own one of these old Yeasu model radios you will not go wrong sending it to her for the needed repairs! I have owned this rig since the late 70s and had repair work done locally. When I would get my rig back the repair work was not up to par. Sending my old yeasu to Certified Electronics is like scoring a "hole in 1". Their name says it all """CERTIFIED ELECTRONICS""" Their work is above excellent. Their rates are not out of this world, prices are very reasonable. You will not go wrong send you radio to them, believe me, it is really a pleasure doing business with them.....

I have an old Yaesu transceiver which I purchased new in the early 70's. I had one place that told me they could work on them. Very bad choice! I ran across Certified's web page while searching the internet for a respectable place to have my work done. My very lucky day! I called them and talked to Carol about my rig (FT101EE). I told him I was in no hurry, I just wanted it fixed right. I got the rig back within 2 weeks and it looked brand new, it had been "sitting for 30 yrs". Their work was far superior than what I expected. I would give this company the highest mark possible! I put my trust in this company and they really delivered. I just wish I had some more broken equipment so I could send it to them! You will not be disapointed if you pick this company for your repairs.

I'm Wowed Again Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought an FC-700 antenna tuner on eBay. Yeah, I know... Sent it to Certified Electronics for repair and Carol and Crew turned it around in under 10 days. Amazing! Works like it was brand new and the cost of the repair was more than reasonable. It's a shame my FTdx-560 weighs so much... :-)

Great repair Job Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I contracted Carol W4CLM at a great repair shop http:/www .certifiedelectronics.org my FT-101ZD had numerous problems, I was afraid the rig would never work again. Carol and Josh wrk'd on
the rig for several days and preformed some miracles replacing boards and cleaning up solder wrk. The old FT 101ZD is now on the air again wrk'ng on all bands, it sounds good and wrk's like new again. Carol kept me informed on the e progress being made on the rig and
included me in the decisions about repairs. They gave me their phone number in case I needed help
when I got the rig back.It just doesn't get any better than that. The repair job to my FT-101ZD MK2 was fast, professional and very reasonable.
I couldn't be happier with the wrk this company did for me, I recommend them very highly. WA2HMB

Excellent and fast service for my Yaesu FT 101E Time Owned: more than 12 months.
On Tuesday July 24 I sent my 101E to Carol at Certified Electronics. She repaired it and I was back on the air Friday August 3. She did an outstanding job repairing it. I honestly believe it operates better than when I purchased it new in November of 1978. This is the second time I've used her services. I highly recommend her for repairing your radio. She kept me informed as to her progress via email.

I purchased my FT-101E November 30, 1978 and have used it regularly up until about 14 years ago. It's been setting without use all those years. One day back in December 2010 I turned it on and nothing. It was dead. I went online and typed in "FT-101E" in my search engine. I saw Certified Electronics listed as working on FT-101E's. I emailed them and told them my problem & Carol, W4CLM responded inviting me to send it down to them and they'd take a look at it. I boxed it up and sent it on December 27, 2010. Carol checked it out and informed me every step as to what she had found and how she'd fixed the problem. The rig had many problems but she took care of them all. There's too many to list here. The first problem was damage to the bottom cover caused in shipping. Another problem was the labeling was missing over some of the knobs. Carol replaced the face plate and also the damaged plate. The rig was gone exactly 14 days and came back packaged really well. She kept me informed of her progress all through the repair process via email and also by phone. After I received the old gal(FT-101E)back, she emailed me to see if I had received it and was I satisfied with the service. I can truly say that the service was outstanding and I would definitely use her service again. Thanks Carol for bringing the old gal back to life. She also informed me that if she had known in the beginning how bad shape the rig was in, she never would have tackled it. I'm glad she didn't know. She said that in one of our previous conversations, I had indicated that the rig had sentimental values and since I was a former member of the Fox Tango International(she's their administrator) she was determined to fix my rig. Her price was very reasonable. Got problems with your Yaesu? Send it to Carol & Certified Electronics. They also work on other rigs & equipment.

Yaesu FT-101EE overhaul! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Long story short...Got this rig from the neighbor guy in cosmetically good shape but had some major work that needed done under the hood. Finals & driver were missing and the tube sockets were damaged. Have you ever thought of replacing those yourself? What a mess...
I called Carol on the phone and he was up to the task. I wasn't in a hurry so I said "get to it when you have time."
10 days later, I was on the air! I found out that the rig needed a lot of things. There was a broken rehostat in the clarifier circuit that gave them the run around for an hour and a half. They worked on the rig all day but when I got it back It was right! They completely went through the radio and checked everything...then double checked.
If you need a great tech especially for vintage equipment, Josh and Carol are your guys! Highly recommended!!

Yaesu FRG-7 Repair Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Thirty years ago, I purchased a new Yaesu FRG-7 SWL radio prior to getting my novice license. It was a very good radio when I bought it but after 30 years, it needed some work.

I called Carol. She was very familiar with the FRG-7 radio and gave me a verbal estimate and sent me an e-mail with a tracking number and very detailed instructions for double boxing the radio for shipping. A local UPS store packed and shipped the radio per Carol's instructions.

UPS delivered the radio to Carol the following week. The radio was cleaned up; a Kiwa capacitor kit installed; three light bulbs were replaced; an FET and a diode were replaced in the front end plus the radio was aligned during the second week. UPS returned the radio to me during the third week.

The radio was returned in the same box that the UPS store in Billings had used to ship it. That box looked like it had never left town. It is a 7200 mile round trip between Billings, Montana and Cartersville, Georgia. Thanks to Carol's detailed packing instructions, there was no damage or wear & tear to the radio.

The repair invoice was ten dollars less than Carol's estimate. UPS packing and round trip shipping charges were more than the repair charge. I think this was due to the size of the boxes used to double box the radio.

I feel blessed to have my FRG-7 back in good working order. I got first class service at a very reasonable cost.

Excellent Work Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I won a Yaesu FT-301 power supply and transceiver on e-Bay a few weeks ago. I had read on this site about Certified Electronics and the type work they did. So I sent both the transceiver and power supply in for a clean up and alignment, plus the power supply needed to be rewired. Please believe me when I tell you I was blown away when I got the gear back yesterday. The work was excellent inside and out, and for what they did the price seem way to low. They'll get all my business from here on out. Oh! and the turn around was very fast.

Great work Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I sent my FT 101ZD to Carol and company for repair. Radio returned serviced including alignment. Receive is sharper than before so they did something right. My one-stop shop for Yaesu boatanchors. Thanks Carol!

I got lucky on the purchase of a FT 101E off Ebay, except for low output. Carol offered to sell me the CW filter and the unit came with a SSB filter. I lucked out and found 2 NOS Toshiba green label 6JS6C sweep tubes. Sent the rig to Carol to install the CW filter and to make sure the new Toshibas were neutralized. He offered to replace the access cover which had been repainted and the paint job did not match the original Yaesu color scheme. Very reasonable service charge.

I expect years of good service from this old boatanchor. Hot receive with the filters!

This is the place to go for servicing the FT 101 line of transceivers.

Excellent service and knowledge Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Called Carol about my inherited FT101EE and discussed probable condition (needed alignment, new output tubes neutralized, unknown other repairs needed, etc). On Friday of that same week I drove to Certified Electronics and within less than half an hour they were checking out my FT101. Fortunately there were no serious issues with this radio which had been off-air for over twenty years so I did not have to leave it with them. About 1 and a half hours after walking in, I was walking out with my cleaned and aligned radio. Very efficient, knowledgeable staff. I recommend them and would/will do business with them again if I need radio service
