Best key I've ever used. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is an incredible key. I do not undestand why people are still "swiping" from side to side when they could be "tapping." The key is a work of art by a master craftsman. I built a tapper key myself, and it is extremely crude when compared to the precision and beautiful key by ON4MAC. I work almost entirely CW (have CW QRP DXCC), and have used a Kent Mark I for several years. I have moved it aside, and the MacTapper is my main key now.

A FANTASTIC PADDLE Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Hi
A great piece of wonderful engineering and craftmanship, from Michel 0N4MAC, in my humble opinion.

A very diffferent and unusual paddle from all the rest, made out of Polished Brass to a Wonderful fine finish.

So easy to use.

DITS Press Left Paddle, using your Index Finger and DAHS Press Right Paddle, using your Middle Finger, then just tap away, as if you were listening to music.

Use the back locking adjusment screws on the top to adjust paddle gap.

Front locking adjustment screws, for paddle tension.

All I have to do now is get through Bills G0ELZ Morse Class, and PASS, come September.

"SIMPLE"

"I WISH" "LOL"

Then were sorted with a superb key, to go on the air with my Kenwood TS - 570D HF Tranceiver and MACTAPPER KEY.

And to top it all Michel is a great guy to do buisness with.

He always keeps you informed of your keys progress right up until delivery.

Then you just enjoy a FANTASTIC KEY made by A FANTASTIC CRAFTSMAN.

So thanks Michel, for superb service and a fantastic key.

Superb and unique! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The MacTapper key by ON4MAC is a piano-key design using the first and middle fingers to depress separate pads.

The key can be wired with either pad for dashes and dots. I'm right-handed, and mine is wired so the middle finger sends dashes, and the index finger sends dots, i.e., dashes on the right pad.

It may seem strange at first sending CW with two fingers using a vertical motion. However, it's actually quite intuitive - just visualize tapping out the rythm for a song.

At first you do have to keep your mind on what you're doing. But accuracy builds quickly with just a very little bit of practice.

As it turns out, sending with the MacTapper requires considerably less effort than using the sideswipe or "squeeze" motion of the standard paddle key. The reduction in effort also facilitates faster sending. And it's less fatiguing in the long run with the tapping motion.

The MacTapper key itself is as much a craftsman's work of art as the MacPaddle key. The machining is flawless, and the finish is a beautiful brushed brass.

It's compact, measuring just 5-3/4" x 2" x 1-3/8" (with projections). With it's heavy solid brass construction and low profile, it won't move in operation. The finger pads are generously sized. The tension and contact spacing for each pad are fully adjustable.

The only other tapper key I'm familiar with is the KKC key that was manufactured for a short time by the Kitano Key Company. The ON4MAC MacTapper key perfects the design.
