Perfect Job - Once Again Time Owned: N.A.
Two years ago, W2GD did a great job of replacing my tribander. But recently, running too much power on RTTY in a rain storm, I burned up one of the 15-meter traps. Yesterday, John came back to my QTH and fixed the problem.

I fully agree with the favorable comments others have posted here about John. In my view, he is highly competent. He works quickly, but always puts safety first. He is good company, and his rates are reasonable.

Thanks again John.

Another great W2GD job! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
John has maintained my tower since I moved to this location. This time beside the normal work, I had John take 2 antennas down, put a new antenna up and change out the rotor. John went about his business in his usual calm, organized manner, being sure that ever step was completed properly. We had 2 visits from Mr. Murphy that were quickily resolved.
It was surely a very professional job.
Thank you John.

Great Job Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This spring, I contacted John about doing a LONG delayed tower/antenna job for me. John guided me through the process, and once all the antennas were at my QTH, and all the other supplies were here, the job was scheduled within 2 weeks. On A day, John got the job done quickly, neatly, and professionally

John does it right Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John along with Don, K4ZA took down 8 towers ranging in height from 200 ft to 45 ft and 14 large HF yagis at my former QTH. John is a true tower professional and has the knowledge and tools to get any tower or antenna job done in a safe and timely manner. I highly recommend John for any tower and antenna work regardless of height or antenna size. If you want it done right the first time give John a call. You won't be disappointed.

Great Job Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John was great. Arrived when he said he would and went right to work. He relieved my stress level with his knowledge of the antenna and tower. He was great to work with. Completed the job within the time he said it would take. Extremely professional and diligent in his work. I would use John again and would recommend him to anyone who needs an installation. My hat is off to John. I just can't thank him enough.

John Does Great Work Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My new tower is nearing completion after many months of preparation and construction. John W2GD has worked with me from the beginning to assure a clean professional installation. John came here in May to do a site survey and offer recommendations on how to proceed. After I obtained the permit and installed the concrete, John came back in November to install the Rohn 45G guyed tower. He came back again in January, on one of the coldest days in recent memory, to install the antennas, a SteppIR DB18 topped with 144, 222 and 432 MHz beams on a 24 foot Chrome molly mast and an Orion 2800DC rotor. It has been a pleasure to work with John on this project. He is focused, professional and efficient. For pictures of John's work see www.cnssys.com/~w2gps and look at the tower project. I highly recommend John for all your tower work.

Outstanding Service Time Owned: N.A.
I highly recommend W2GD for any antenna/tower work. A micro-burst roared through our neighborhood in late July and slammed huge chunks of broken trees into our house, on top of one of the guy cable runs, and into the antennas atop my 70' guyed Rohn 45 tower. One of the smartest things I did was to contact John Crovelli, W2GD. John promptly made a site visit and prepared a very detailed inventory of the damages and the associated material and labor repair costs. This included a description of the storm, the damaged tower sections, all antennas, cables, connectors, tape, tie wraps, etc. - every thing needed to rebuild the antenna system, including estimated crane costs.

Thanks to John's excellent damage report, our insurance company promptly approved the associated costs to allow repairs to begin. I can't over-emphasize how helpful John's report was in clearing the way for repairs. John also provided me with excellent guidance on specific vendors. With the help of a 70-ton crane, John carefully removed all of the antennas from my bent mast and lowered them to the ground. The guy cables were then disconnected and the damaged tower was removed in one crane pick and lowered to the ground for dis-assembly. Several weeks later, when I had all the replacement material on hand with the assembled antennas staged in the yard, John installed the new tower and rigged a tram line to haul the new antennas up to the mast. Thanks to John's expert skills and workmanship, I'm back on the air and I won't hesitate to call him in the future.

Who You Gonna Call? Time Owned: more than 12 months.
John Crovelli, W2GD, isn't just another "tower guy" - he's an amateur radio resource. Courteous, capable, intelligent, and utterly professional, John is the helpful expert to call for assistance with any antenna installation, maintenance, or repair - a genuine "Problem Buster." Recently, John supervised the installation of a SteppIR DB-36 - an ungainly, 160-pound monster yagi - on a 100' guyed tower. As an assembled ground crew assisted, John, working on the tower, carefully weaved and coaxed this monster up, around, and through FOUR (count 'em) guy stations without incident. John's guidance and expertise was invaluable, and this extremely difficult installation was performed smoothly, successfully, and most of all, safely. Later, when a suspect EHU motor located a nearly unreachable five feet out on the boom had to be replaced, it seemed that the whole antenna would have to be removed from the mast and shifted over in order to provide access to the element - not a trivial job with such a heavy, complicated antenna suspended more than 100 feet in the air. I called John to assist me in doing this potentially dangerous work, but John exceeded all expectations by single-handedly removing the element and then replacing the motor - without detaching the antenna from the mast - in an amazing aerial feat of mechanical prowess which reduced the length of the job by hours. In summary, if you've got a problem, John can help resolve it, and if you have a dream, John can help make it a reality.

very professional service Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This is the second time that I have used John, W2GD for antenna and tower installations. He is always on time, very professional and always a pleasure to work with. John installed a 40 ft. Rohn 45G tower bracketed to the rear wall of my home. For this installation, John installed my 6 band Mosley TA-63N yagi, 5 el. Mosley MY-144-5 2 meter SSB yagi; an Arrow J-pole for 2/440 FM and a side arm support with a bracket and a pulley to support my inverted-V. The entire installation went very smoothly. It was amazing to watch John and his ground crew raise my large antenna on to the rotor and tower. Keeping John supplied with fresh coffee and doughnuts is always a good idea, hi!

Excellent Job Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John and I got together a few months ago. From intitial meeting to the completed project I found John to be focused and very dedicated to providing to best job possible. John oversaw the project from initial layout and the pouring of concrete and not only assembled my beam antennas, but, contacted the antenna manufacturer due to a problem and would not be satisfied until the entire project was operating perfectly. My Rohn 45 tower and antennas have only been up one week and I could not be more pleased with John's work. Thanks, John..you are now on my "speed dial". Tom K2WCT
