Top notch!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Based on reviews, contacted John in February before even purchasing the house. He was on the way to Desecheo, but answered the phone :-). John guided me through process of selecting towers, antennas, all other pieces, supervised conduits installation, and then build towers and raised antennas and rotators. Whole process from the first contact with John to operational on the air with 2 towers and 5 beams ( and property purchase between) took 7 months - and was a very learning and happy experience. John helped me to get XR-5 from W3PA ( hi Olaf !!) and pointed me where I can save $$ without sacrificing safety, quality and performance. Very strongly recommended - and get in line, I will ask him next year to do regular maintenance..
John - thank you very much !

Very Recommended!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John did a great job installing my Cushcraft A3S on a Glen Martin Roof Tower today. First of all he always returned my calls and my email messages in a timely manner. He was always ready with solutions suggestions and clear answers to my questions, which made the planning a lot easier. The installation was done perfectly, neat and fast. We had some bumps on the road but he always came up with quick solutions to keep the job moving. If you are looking for someone to work on your antenna system, look no further, John is the guy you want! Thanks to him and my friend Angel WA2VUY, who helped me a lot, now I too can have fun DXing!

I had John W2GD install my Force 12 XR-5 a few years back.
Decided I wanted to go with some more serious Force 12’s.so I added a C31XL & a 240N Magnum

Outstanding Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
John is highly reliable, communicates well, and gets the job done with the highest level of professionalism. My job was not complicated by any means, but was typical of what most stations would be dealing with. John removed a C31XR and disassembled in a way that will make it easy to rebuild and get back in the air. He also removed a Tryon T600 56' tower. The sections are extremely heavy and using a crane was not possible. By assembling a ground team, I was able to coordinate John's work in the air so that the tower came down safely and quickly. I would recommend John without reservation for doing any tower install or removal.

Friendly and Responsive Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I usually would not give a review to someone that did not do work for me but I will share my experience with John. I called him to inquire about doing some tower work for me; more specifically the cement foundation. Anyhow, unfortunately John was unable or not able to do the cement foundation I wanted installed but what I can tell you is how friendly he was and very responsive to my call.He was a very friendly guy who listened to my ideas and he called me back immediately after my call.

He explained what he did and what services he offered and hopefully if needed I will get the opportunity to work with him. His rates are very reasonable and based on the feedback I have read here on e-ham as well as other sites such as tower talk John seems to do quality work.

I hope I can follow up with a better review but based on his personality and sharing of information I would not hesitate to call him back to do some work.

Reliable and prompt Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My ancient AB-105 tower was John's first professional tower painting job. While I still climb, John has done all my difficult work since the painting job. Today he replaced the feedline and repaired the top hats on my 40-2CD beam, then went up the mast to replace a broken element on the 6 meter beam. He was prepared for some problems and completed the job beautifully and promptly, as always.

Competent and quick Time Owned: N.A.
John replaced a cracked boom to mast bracket on my EF 420 and exchanged a broken Ameritron RCS-8V relay box. Both jobs took only an hour and the price was very reasonable. I was very happy to find someone willing to come quickly and do my two minor but necessary repairs.

Excellent work - great advice - reasonable rates Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Late in the summer of 2008, I decided to replace my old antenna system. The tower ( 45G installed in 1978 ) also needed painting. John (W2GD) brushed off the surface rust and painted it and it now appears as new....what a difference. After much consideration, I decided to purchase the Force F 12 5BA and 230/240 to mount on top of 4130 18 ft mast. Weather conditions were not great in December with snow on the ground and cold PA winter but he worked safely though the conditions. John and I sat in my garage on a rainy day and installed the hundreds of pop-rivets to put together the Force 12 antennas. Installation of the antennas and new Bury Flex coax went smoothly. I am a very HAPPY client and plan to have him back in the spring for more work. A great guy to work with.

He did an HF antenna relocation for me.
A push up mast mounted Hex beam , to a roof tower.
He showed up right on time, had the job done very quick.

Fair prices, reliable...and a real nice guy.
I would use him again anytime.
