Great Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just put up a T-6 and it is performing exactly as advertised. I'm very happy with it. I also have it mounted at 50 feet. The SWR is about 2:1 on the high end of 10 mtrs and lower everywhere else. The best band is 15 mtrs where the SWR is very low from end to end. I think the construction instructions could be simlified and easier to sort through given the simple nature of the actual construction. However, with a little reading it wasn't too difficult to figure out what was going on. I assembled the antenn in about 3 hours and did not break a single screw in the process. Every piece fit together perfectly and snugly and was not difficult at all. I didn't have to use any graphite or any other lubricants or deburr anything, everything just fit. Anyway, I'm now having lots of fun busting pileups and even creating a few of my own. And yes, it's great being able to work 20 thru 10 mtrs including the WARC bands with a single antenna and no tuner.

T6 Disappointing Here Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I had read all of the reviews (all positive) that I could find and really looked forward to having a decent antenna to cover 20-10 meters, so I bought a T6. It went together easily but about half of the stainless steel screws that pin the elements together broke off during assembly. Their manual warns that this might happen if too much torque is used during assembly (such as from using an electric screwdriver). I used a hand screwdriver and they still broke off. I guess this is only a problem if I want to disassemble the antenna some day!

My SWR readings are over 2:1 on 3 of the 5 bands that the antenna covers. Tennadyne has been very helpful and has offerred many suggestions as to why, but nothing has solved the problem for me. My antenna is mounted at 50 feet. 15 meters and 17 meters are the worse with SWR near 3:1. I am using their Collins balun. I just did not expect to have these problems after researching and checking out all of the rave reviews. I would not buy the T6 if I had it to do over again!

Works great! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My T6 has been up at 40 feet about a month and I am very pleased with it. The antenna is well designed and constructed. Materials are of the highest quality. Without traps, there is very little to go wrong with this antenna. I'm a big fan of 17 meters and it's great having a beam on this band for a change. In fact, I'd done little 12 meter operating up until now but find this is also a nice band to operate. When I decided to install my new U.S. Tower, my first thought was to refurbish my old conventional 3-element trap tribander and put it up. But I reconsidered and now I am so glad I did. It's wonderful to have a beam with gain and F/B on all F-I-V-E amateur bands 20-10 meters. It may be my imagination or just wishful thinking or an example of positive thinking, but it seems I get through many big pile-ups a lot easier than I should considering I run just 100 watts and the log periodic is only 40 feet high. But I'm not complaining. Not one bit. After about 3-and-a-half weeks of casual operating, I have worked 60 countries with this antenna. No contests, no packet cluster. Just listen and pounce!

Now some truthful comments. The F/B isn't quite as good as with my former 3-element tribanders -- especially on 20 meters. No real surprise there though. Log periodics aren't known for their great F/B ratios. And the Tennadyne instructions could be better. The instructions are long on verbage but too short on diagrams. There are pictures of completed antennas but they don't always give enough detail to know how to assemble the antenna. And this antenna is a bit more complex to assemble than many yagis. At least I thought so. The boom make-up and the staggering of the elements is the hard part. But once you got that down, the elements slide together easily. There's no measuring their length. Just slide together and put in the screws. And there's no match to adjust -- because, hey, this is a log periodic and it has W-I-D-E frequency coverage. But Chuck at the Tennadyne factory is great to talk with for technical support. So, Tennadyne, just add a few diagrams to the instructions and you'll have a nearly perfect product and assembly instructions.

If you buy this antenna, I think you'll be very pleased. I am.

WARC & NO TRAPS Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've had my T-6 up for about 2 months now. I am very happy. Thought I had a swr problem , turned out to be the swr meter. Chuck at Tennadyne was a great help. It is a little tricky to put together, but is well built, and high quality tubing. Best part is no traps to burn up , small footprint, and the warc bands are a bonus. In a few months, I'll tell you if it will survive a hurricane!!!!

Tennadyne T-6....it plays at the beach Time Owned: unknown months.
I normally use vertical antennas at my Isle of Palms, SC, QTH....even get excellent performance from a
CushCraft R7000 (mounted on the end of my pier, 150 feet out into the SALT water). I recently
built a new tower and decided that I would put a small antenna on top to lessen the environmental impact (read....antennas are frowned upon). The T-6 went together flawlessly in about 3 hours. I put the antenna (it only weighs 27 lbs.) on a US Tower MA550MDP tower tipped over with the raising fixture and using a 10 foot tall stepladder. I handled the job alone.
SWR from 14-30 mHz was less than 1.8:1 (specs are 2:1 or less). I'm certain that the salt water environment helps but the performance of the antenna is beyond my expectations and is certainly a keeper. Well done, Tennadyne.
