We have also added a full line of printed ham radio coffee mugs from $15.00 to $18.00 – see our website for details. We are a full service embroiderer, sublimation printer, and vinyl cutter and we do custom work for all your needs.

This is the second hat I have purchased from Astrid's Embrioidery & Quilts. I was dumb enough to stick my hat in the "DRYER" after washing it, and boy did it shrink.
I will use them again without hesitation. Great Job Guys

OK, here's an update to my earlier review of some callsign caps which I ordered a couple of months ago from Astrid's.

In that review, I remarked on the quality of the caps being a tad less than perfect - and almost, but not quite up to the standard of some other caps that I had ordered some three years ago. Now, the caps were fine, but the embroidery showed one or two small empty gaps here and there, and the lettering was perhaps a tiny bit on the thin side. From a distance, they looked just fine, but from close up, those few little imperfections stood out.

So I wrote my review and was about to write a mail to Todd at Astrid's Embroidery (and, yes, I know - I should have written the email FIRST :( ) when I got a real friendly mail from Todd saying how concerned he was to hear that I wasn't 100% pleased with the results. He went on to outline the production process and was even able to say on which embroidery machine these caps - and the previous set - were done on. I can say, even at this stage I was very impressed with this level of customer care.

Then I noticed that included as an attachment to the email were photographs of these new caps, plus photographs of the previous set from three years ago, so I could compare the results. Now this takes customer care - AND production QA - to an even higher level. Can you imagine the care and attention to detail required to take photos of EVERY product that goes out the door? That's YOURS and MY caps and t-shirts and sweaters and who knows what else?

I wrote back thanking Todd for his comments and we exchanged a few emails, and in the meantime, he put his entire embroidery setup under the magnifying glass, checked thread quality, thread tensions, stitching densities, and did exhaustive tests including creating test-pieces with my callsign at various machine settings. And sending me photos of same, of course.

Eventually Todd was able to report that he was pleased with the results of his labors and - get this - he was sending me two new caps FREE OF CHARGE as replacement for the two he had sent me earlier. Took four weeks(!) to get here in Tuscany, Italy and I can say that they are mighty fine pieces of work. Thank you, Todd.

Now, I'm Old School - I was apprenticeship trained in engineering the old, hands-on way, so I deeply appreciate the kind of care and attention to detail that Todd has shown here, not to mention the great generosity, and I want to share that appreciation with anyone reading this. This is good, old-fashioned craftsmanship - but using computer-controlled machinery folks! - and customer care of the very best. And that's so rare these days.

Would I order again? You betcha!

The hat is of excellent quality, the embroidering is done professionally with all the callsigns, names, and logos exactly where I wanted them. I would not hesitate to recommend Astrid's to other people.

I ordered a new callsign cap as my old one looked pretty thread worn. The ordering process was seamless, and the communications from Todd, Astrid's husband, was excellent. The embroidery on the cap is very well done. I highly recommend Astrid's.

I had a custom logo and design I wanted put on a hat and to boot I'm a size 7 3/4. Todd made sure I was happy with the outcome even offering an alternative hat style that would have a better chance fitting my head. It came out better than expected and I'm looking forward to wearing it to Dayton this year. Nice job! I'll definitely use them again. You won't be disappointed.
