GREAT SERVICE Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Sent in my 718 and got it back quick, still working great...He could have charged more but
he must be reputable. Much more than I can say for an OHIO repair center.

I Reccommend Them Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My IC-910 failed to power up so I contacted ICOM Service SE.

After describing the issue with the service rep I was asked to ship the radio to their service center in South Carolina.

About a week later I received a call informing me my radio was ready for pickup. I returned their call and was informed that my radio was repaired, what the cost of the repair was including shipping, and what was repaired.

It appears that my 910 had a damaged flex cable to the PLL unit.

I recently had every option installed in my 910 ..... by a club member ...... on the cheap (for no cost). The service rep stated that whoever did the install
had hosed things up and he found that the PLL unit cover was not re-installed correctly. This damaged the cable which eventually prevented it from powering up.

Moral of this story is ...... you get what you pay for.

If I am incapable or not willing to install my own radio options ..... I should pay a professional to perform the install. This way I have some manner of recourse if there are issues.

When you have a non-professional perform an install ..... you're basically screwed if they hose it up!

Live and learn.

ICOM SE Service are very professional and did a timely repair.

I would recommend them.

Excellent - Quick Turnaround Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Got on line to find an Icom service center and found Southeast service center in my back yard! Well, 17 miles away.. Called Paul, told him my prob with my 765 and he told what it was over the phone. I dropped it off the next day and had it back the next week. Works like it did when I bought it brand new. Paul is always quick to answer emails and willing to share his thoughts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Quick and reasonable Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Very fast turnaround on proper repair of my IC-R10 receiver, and the cost was fair. Good communication from Paul W6XA. He called explained the problem, got authorization, and it was fixed and back in my hands within a week.

IC7000 warranty update Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Best warranty service yet! Called Paul on a Tuesday and indicated I would like to send my IC7000 in for the 8Khz mod. Shipped it UPS Brown on Wednesday and it arrived on Friday (Louisiana to South Carolina). Paul turned it around and shipped it the following Monday via FedEx ground. I received the rig on Thursday (9 days turnaround). I suspect in the warranty business this is very rare. During the 9 day process, I called Paul to check on the status of my rig. Even though it was obvious he was very busy, he took time to discuss the repair.
