Bought this bundle of wire with 3 cheap plastic eggs that was supposed to be ready to go in the air and attach to your transceiver. The advertising is false and misleading, the antenna does NOT operate on the advertised bands without a tuner, and even as a Newby to amateur radio I can build a better OCF dipole cheaper, of better quality, and actually works. Save you money. This antenna is a waste of money and air space, at least I have been able to use the wire in another antenna project

Bought one off some con off E Bay.. Just 3 lengths of wire hand twisted together and 2 cheap dogbones.Did try it but couldn,t get it to work. Save your money and time.

Bought this piece of over priced wire and have never bothered to put it up. I have not connected my analyzer to it so i can not speak for it's performance but can concur with the previous review in it's construction. The moment i opened up the package (a large envelope) it was very apparent that all i bought was some wire quickly assembled together. I would not have thought much about it if it sold for $10.00 but at $20.00 plus shipping cost it to me is a waste of money and my advice is SAVE YOUR MONEY and build your own or buy from a established maker....

This review is for an OCF wire antenna currently being sold on Ebay.
I want to express my disappointment with this antenna. The 3 insulators used appear to be very light plastic. Although they help in keeping down the weight of the antenna, one or two days in New England sub-zero winter and they'll crack and fall apart. Next, I would like to address the assembly of the antenna I purchased. The ends were twisted together in such a manner that my hands got stabbed by the wire strands that were bent back in the wrong direction during assembly. They were not twisted together tightly and smoothly and were not soldered. Testing with an antenna analyzer showed absolutely no resonance on the phone portion of 10, 12, 15, 17, or 20m. Use of a tuner was necessary on all the bands the manufacturer claimed the antenna was built to work. Plus, there was no mention in the description of having to solder coax to the antenna. (There is no SO-239 connector) The directions packed with this antenna are totally lacking of any diagrams, or photos, to show how to assemble and hang for optimum performance. It appears that the manufacturer assumed that the buyer doesn't need any in-depth instructions and knows everything about wire antennas. In my opinion, I suggest you build your own. You could do better construction and spend less money.
