XLNT PRODUCT!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the kit version along with the connector package for Yaesu. Total cost for the kit, connector parts, CA tax and shipping was about $50. Very simple and straigtforward to assemble except those little 8-pin mic plugs are always a pain!

The mic audio is really good; as good or better than the more expensive Heil product. The "cans" also have great receive audio quality. I have a hard time wearing a headset for very long; it's just too uncomfortable for me but these should do really well for most people. They are also great looking!

Assembled & Tech Support Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently received the TR 2000 wired for an ICOM 746 PRO. It worked as expected and also with the MFJ Voice Keyer.

However, when used with a Ten Tec Jupiter I encountered some problems!! The mic could record ok. The memory keyer could xmit ok. But the mic had problems with a lot of distortion when tramsmitting thru the keyer. It could not be used.

I phoned the tec support number. The first question was - How long have you had the mic? After 30 dys you cannot return it for a refund.
The end result was not interested in trying to understand my problem or trying to help.

Just to let everyone know my experience in case the tech support could be of interest to potential purchasers.

Incredible value for $30 Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Got the kit as an xmas gift 2 years ago and finally got around to finishing the kit and wiring it up to my Ten-Tec Pegasus.
The headphones have a much better frequency response than the walkman-type phones I have been using, eliminating a lot of high frequency noise and making it very pleasent to listen for extended periods. I have also received very good reports on the transmit audio.
This is no Heil headset, but it is reasonably well made and functions very well.
I give it a 5 simply because it exceeds my expectations for a $30 headset.

Great value for the money! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just built the kit version. Assembly was easy, although the directions could use an added sketch or two for a couple of the steps. Works well, comfortable to wear, audio reports good on air. Quality appears good and I expect years of service. All in all, great value at a reasonable price.

Good only for its cost! Time Owned: N.A.
I got this kit. Assembling is a piece of cake. The problem with this set is that earcups are sliding down all the time. I had to stick two pieces of pencil eraser to keep them from moving. I don't know how long this set will last, but it was cheap, so I don't have to take my SONY V-6's out in the field.

Nice! See diagrams below. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Hi,

Assembly of the headphones was a snap. Fun too! Wiring to the 706 was a challenge for me. Challenge met and accomplished. I made these diagrams that may be of assistance to others...

How the final pigtails look...

The price was certainly fantastic! The quality far surpasses what you pay.

Well kept secret! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have a large RV with a 706g and the YL likes to drive. Rather than subjecting her to all the racket while traveling, I searched for a headset / boom mic. I came across this TR 2000 and since you can't buy the parts for the price of it, I ordered one. Works perfect! I always receive good comments on the audio, very light and comfortable. REALLY 'plug and play'. I made a simple adapter to use the 706 plug with regular Icom 8 pin connector. I now use the TS 2000 for Meteor Scatter with the 756PRO. Great customer support. What more can you ask?

A real bargin! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The kit is easy to assemble, the pre-amp schematic is sent with the kit. Tech support is outstanding! (Had problem locating parts for preamp!) Performance is great for the price. Audio reports from other stations is "clear and crisp". I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Can't beat it for the price.

Comfortable, with pleasing audio Time Owned: unknown months.
I built the WGA TR-2000 kit and wired it for stereo reception to accomodate the dual receive function on the Yaesu FT-1000MP. Construction was a snap and the quality of materials is good. The headphone despite its rugged appearance is quite light to wear over extended contesting periods. The thickly-padded headband and earpads are particularly (for me) comfortable (and exclude outside sounds). Its single plug-cord construction is convenient and less fussy than the double-cords on many stereophones pressed into amateur service.

I cannot comment on the microphone's performance as I did not install it. I am a CW op.
