a true mechanical marvel Time Owned: N.A.
recently obtained my second Signal Electric solid brass key..spent a day on polishing this jewel..am continually amazed at the quality of materials and workmanship...these are truly mechanical marvels..prices of keys are going up but these still seem to be priced under their true value.

Beautiful History Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Perhaps one of the easiest keys to restore to its original beauty because it is all brass. Shines up to an almost new state. Place it on a nice base and you have a wonderful, attractive key for your Shack that will be a real conversation piece. I got mine for $21.95 and restored it for my active use. See pictures and details on how I did mine at www.K5DZE.net.

Beautiful and Functional Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought one of these on eBay for about $30. It compares favorably with high-end straight keys costing several times more, with the added bonus that it's a genuine piece of history. The movement is smooth, and the machined brass base is so heavy I haven't even mounted it to a board yet - it holds still on its own. The only "restoration" I did was to swipe a piece of emery cloth through the contacts a few times to take off the tarnish. Definitely a keeper.

Very Nice and Solid Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Base approx. 3 and 5/8" long by 2 and 1/4" wide. Overall length 5 1/2". Silver 3/16" Contacts. Purchased on Ebay for $50 dollars. Very heavy brass construction. Very nice feel and sound. Great hand key. R-63 Model had 1/4" contacts and the R-64 has 5/16 or 3/8" contacts...cant remember right now..I see these keys on ebay all the time...if they are complete grab one...they are very easy to tear down and clean and polish. Great hand key. Seem to go between 30 and 50 bucks or so.
