Impressive performance			Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I ordered mine as a CW-only version with no relays and it performs well throughout our 40 kHz-wide band allocation. Construction is very robust and it survived a tropical thunderstorm that ripped down large trees and power poles in the area. Custom boom-to-tower plates OB custom-fabricated to the tower drawings fit perfectly. A few missing parts were immediately air posted free of charge.

A super antenna			Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Optibeam 3 el yagi for 80m. Late September day´s last year 2006 we erect the 3 el on 80m from Optibeam. What is with all Optibeam´s is the quality of the material as well the rugged design. To mount the antenna together is so easy, the manual is also very professional. Since September we have had a few very very big storms (hurricanes) around 40m/s, the last one was last weekend with 33m/s and very much of heavy wet snow. The antenna is mounted 44m up and my rotator is a Proppitch rotator. Until now there is no problem with the high winds at all, this version is also swithable on cw. I have no problem with SWR on both CW and SSB. In CW I can work up about 50 kc and SSB is from 3815 to 3765. I have been very active on 80m for many years, I have had and still have a 4SQ to compete and cross check with the beam. The beam is better than the 4SQ in all directions in both RX and TX. New countries on 80m worked after erecting the beam is ZL8, XF4, No Cook. If You look for a beam of this size, You will not be disappointed with this one.
