Description: Extremely efficient and unique wire beam for 20/17/15/12/10m.
Use of the fantastic OptiBeam direct coupled driver feed system.
Never seen before mechanical design.
Extremely robust due to an extremely special instep framework, designed by OptiBeam.
All wires pre cut and pre assembled. Assembly is a snap within 1 to 1.5 hours.
Optically beautiful appearence.

Mechanical and electrical outstanding performance, full size . Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After having worked 314 entities with a two- element compact beam with coils and capacitors I felt I had earned a better antenne. The OBW10-5 has no traps or whatsoever- just solid stainless steel wires, cut already to the proper length. The mechanical design is excellent and also the electrical performance. As a professor in Electrical Engineering I can judge this. The wires are full size. Still this antenne looks small due to the Moxon elements. As I live in a residential area, for me it was mandatory that I have an unobtrusive antenna. Even my wife, normally afraid of antennas, likes it!

... would buy it again! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I was looking for a light-weight and efficient beam. I prefer to work CW chasing DX and IOTA. Now I am convinced that I bouhgt the right antenna. The wind load is remarkable low and the beam was easy to build. (partly mounted already)
The OBW10-5 kept the promises given I would say. Since the beam is up I was able to work stations from several DXpeditions (VU7, VK9N, KH8S and so on) within the first 20 minutes or so. From my point of view the performance is better than a 11-element-Log periodic I used before.
The beam is also usable for expeditions. You need only 20 minutes each way to assebmle or disassemble and the antenna fits into a packing of 250 x 20 x 20 cm.

is Good... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I live in a house in City of Milan, my problem was to buy an antenna that allowed me to work many possible bands, that he was not too much large and heavy. Finally I have found it!!!! is simplest to mount it is preassembled, mechanically very is made. On the market an antenna like this does not exist, created for being installed in definitive way. In these weeks I have had way to connect: V73, VP8, R1, XT, PA3, ZD9.VK9. .ECC. They are just curious to try it with one better propagation!! Good DX to all, 73 ' s de IW2MWZ max

quality of its own Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
When I first started looking for a directional antenna for my QTH ( Reinhaus- ,german people know what is it.) the biggest limiting factor was the amount of available airspace in which to install it.

I decided on the OptiBeam for a couple of different reasons. One was the light weight. At about 14kg, it is easy to handle and install. The other reason was the small turning radius of only 3,8m - for a full size 5 Band Beam-perfect! and also one cable. The quality of materials and design is first rate and the instructions included with the antenna are crystal clear. You must! read the book, before you start to put the antenna together. The antenna's wire elements is pre-mounted so far and one needs only the parts to plug in together.

I assembled the antenna with a friend of me and it took 1 day to accomplish. One should count on the fact that each antenna takes 1 Day with all small things, checks, put it on the tower and so on… very good time of FUN!
Once construction was complete, I quickly hooked up a length of coax and my antenna analyzer to do a quick SWR sanity check. Everything measured out as expected and it was now ready to install.
No additional attitudes are necessary.
After I was put the antenna on the tower, the are was a big storm and wind at late night: no problems at all! I was sleep calmly and well. Work perfectly on all bands (I’m using also AS balun). My expectations were exceeded with this antenna.

OptiBeam does a very good work and job. You can buy it with closed eyes and you will be happy for a long time of you life. (perhaps survived this Antenna you life…Hi) . All parts of this antenna are singurlarly and absolutely specially. You will make sure that each part is its value. Highly recommended.
