SIGNAL LINK USB Time Owned: more than 12 months.
GUYS I used this interface for many years and never a problem. If anyone has a problem with this unit, then you best read a lot more. It is the operator not the interface. It is the most simple one to use. I would recommend it to anyone who don't want to spend 400 bucks for a Rig Expert or Navagator

Awful Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I agree with W2PL , it can not decode anything , I bought the signalink with the connection for the elecraft from tigertronics but it is awful and a big waste of time and money.

I found I have the AEA PK900 that is dated back to 1993 to outperform the signalink , now I am going to updated it

in summary it was a waste of money I do not recommend it to anyone.

Piece of Junk Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After screwing around with this POS for three days, I finally tossed it into the trash can where it belongs.

OK, but... Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The Signal Link is an easy way to connect radios to computers which don't have the emerging standard USB connector available. I've used this unit on a number of radios and modes (RTTY, PSK, JT-65) and it works fine. I think though in a number of ways this unit is oversold. The internal connection header and RJ-45 jack is a marketing gimmick to sell adapter cables. Only 4 lines are in play here and it would have been just as easy to provide a more general purpose individual connection for them on the back of the unit instead of the miserable RJ-45 jack. I don't think the sound card in the unit has any inherent superiority to those in the PCs I use and I emphatically reject Tigertronics assertion that FSK is somehow obsolete. Fortunately it's easy to work around this and that should be made clear in their documentation.
If you have one of the newer radios with USB (such as the TS-590, IC-7600 etc) I would contend you don't need this unit.

GREAT and easy set up. Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have several interfaces and a couple I built. The signalink is the standard to compare all others. Easy to use, set up and adjust. The controls on the front are so much better than trying to adjust settings on the PC. I use mine on an I Mac and it works great. Solid performer.

Great and simple Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used the Signalink USB since they came out and have had nothing but 100% reliable service out of the unit. easy to use and even easier to install, I thought I wanted to go a different route because I wanted to transmit FSK RTTY, so at first I tried a Microkeyer II, it was ok but to much set up involved, that one kept me off the air for over a week trying get the darn thing to work right. In the end it got sold. Silly me I did not learn my lesson, so got the Navigator, this one worked ok, but again over a week, several hours each day fighting with software and drivers. Shame on me, plugged in the old reliable signalink and away we go. on the air is 5 min. Now using it with Linux and Fldigi with CQRlog, great combination, If you go that route dont forget to install Pulse Audio from the software manager. vey happy with my current set up, AFSK RTTY is good for me 73 Tom

Great Interface Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought this as a replacement. Easy to install and had it on line and first QSO within ten minutes.

Noticed the noise level lower than my original interface on receive. Recommended for the price and ease of installation.

Excellent, especially for the price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just received the Tigertronics Signalink USB and have it up and running. I am using this for PSK31 to start, with other modes to follow. After reviewing other interfaces, I chose this unit because the quality and price in concert with performance makes this little box a winner. I am using this with a Yaesu FT-857,and my PC operating system is Windows 8.1.The program that I am using is HRD ver. 5.24, with DM-780. I did have some confusion (on my part) with the install, mainly because I am new to Digital modes of communication, am new to Windows 8.1, and new to HRD/DM-780. However, Jason, from Tigertronics is EXCELLENT, he really is VERY knowledgeable, and he had be up and running in 10 minutes !!!

Fantastic Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have been running the several Signalink USBs here on three radios now for over 6months. I am on most bands from 160mtr to 23cm and all modes. My Signalink USBs have never let me down and today i broke another first for my station. I had my very first successful 2mtr JT65B qso using my modest station here. 1 x 14ele horizontal yagi and 80watts got. Jason at Tigertronics has always been a great pleasure to deal with and answers any questions promptly. I use them on all digital modes on every band and three different types of radios. I am also setting two up for complete portable feild work.

I have been using the Signalink USB everyday for 2 months and found them as easy as to install and setup with different software. I use the TS480Sat for SSTV, WSPR and JT65HF with great results. I also have a second unit connected to my IC910H for SSTV, WSPR, FSK441, JT65a.b.c. for both Tropo and EME on a single 14ele Yagi. Would I recommend Signalink USB and or purchase them again? YES and Yes, I have just purchased a third unit for my TS2000X. I am very impressed with the product as well as the staff at Tigertronics. Customer service is the best I have had ever.

Dwad easy to use Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Plug and play even with linux since most have FTDI drivers built-in. Not a single problem. Setup's as trivial as it gets, hard to go wrong. Documentation is adequate. Ordered from DXE with correct cable, about a hundred bucks for digital modes, what a deal. The front panel controls for TX and RX levels as well as T/R delay make use as easy as it gets.
