Brings batteries back to life. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I picked one of these up at Dayton. It was partly on a whim, as there were several vendors selling them at a good discount. However, I had a bunch of older batteries which were badly degraded due to time and lack of use. The normal charging and diagnose cycles confirmed this, so I collected them all and ran them through the full restore cycle. Note that this takes typically 2 days! However, at the end, all the batteries are now holding charges for reasonable times and usage.

As others have noted, both the manual and display are a bit cryptic. Another minor quibble is that if you are doing a test/restore cycle and your power goes off, when it comes back on you have no choice but to do the whole process again. Due to a series of thunderstorms passing through, it actually took a week for one set.

Nice product Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Ordered one from the USA and it arrived quickly. Being able to perform several operations is nice to have, especially for older batteries which lost performance. The built quality is good and I really like its versatility. Though they could provide a better manual.

You can have it your way! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
The MH-C9000 is the one of the best AA/AAA chargers I have seen.
The MH-C9000 is user programmable for a number of important functions: The charge/discharge rate may be set as well as the number of discharge/charge cycles in some modes. It has several selectable modes of operation, a simple charge, refresh and analyze break-in, discharge and cycle. To me the most useful mode is the refresh and analyze mode, the unit discharges the battery, measures the AH provided by the battery, then recharges the battery (at a selectable rate) and records the total AH that flowed back into the battery. This provides a comprehensive picture of the condition of your batteries so that they may be replaced before you really need to rely on them. During this function you can set the number of charge/discharge cycles to try and bring a battery past its prime back to life.

It just seems to work, I haven’t found any problems to report – no bad habits.

Good Product Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I admit I was a little hesitant to buy a MAHA charger but I am glad I did.

First Impressions:
Large, Easy to Read LCD screen
Can charge four AA and AAA NiMh and NiCD batteries

Pros:
* Large easy to read LCD screen.
* available modes are Charge, Refresh & Analyze,
Break in Mode, Discharge Mode and Cycle Mode.

CONS:
* User manual is not well documented.
* LCD screen a bit cryptic.

A well made product.
