Trouble with a new one Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just bought a new one today at a hamfest. Got home tried it and not very accurate. Reads 1100 watts from a Ameritron 811 (3- 811 tubes) Two Drake meters showed 550 watts. Have three friend who have bought this same model meter within the past 3 weeks and all of us are having the same problem. Serial number shows all 4 of the meters to have the same serial number #1309. Another friend has one from apparently a different run and it works fine. What takes the cake is all of them have the "Passed" inspection sticker on the back. Daiwa what's going on with your quality control?

best meter for the money Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have owned mine for about a year now and it is a fine add-on to the shack. I compared it to the Bird 43 and it is very very close. I like how big the meter is and how you do not need to calibrate when measuring swr. It is nice being able to go up to 2000 watts when working on the amp. I highly recommend it. HRO San Diego had the best price (I think it was $129).

So far so good Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Very solid meter. Easily readable. I have only
had this (CN-801H) meter for a few days, and
it has already become indispensable. It appears
to be accurate (no BIRD meter to compare against).
Excellent movement of needles, clear indication of FWD, REV and SWR.

A Very Good Value Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A lot of value in one package. It works HF through VHF, and QRP through Kilowatt. It has a nice large face and atttractive design (though the mod styling and teal color don't match my other gear very well). I purchased it new for $140 plus tax versus a typical $159 street price. All switches are front panel, and the unit can be illuminated with 12 volt PS (not incl.)

Against known references, the unit is accurate within specs. Power metering is PEP or AVG at user choice.

I think that most any ham from QRP to DX'er would be happy with this unit. NO bugs found thus far. It was purchased as a replacement for the old twin meter Heathkit.

Great Meter! Time Owned: unknown months.
This cross-needle wattmeter works from 160m to 2m in 3 ranges, 20, 200 and 2000 watts, peak or average power. The large (almost 4") meter, is lit in a soft blue glow and is easy to read. It seems to be very accurate. It's a step above the CN-101N for those wanting a larger meter. I am very happy with it.
